I'm Iooking for a place that is interactive like Bennihana's or more so. I'm looking for somewhere that have interactive theme dining. Maybe like the 50's diner in Pulp Fiction. Or a fun place to take the girls. Any ideas?
If you haven't been to the new Montrose Farmer's Market, get to it! It's a newborn baby, and you are mother's milk.

Me and the BF want to go bowling and i've never done it in Houston. Where is a good/cheapish place to go? We live in the medcenter and usually hang in the rice village area but are willing to drive. Someone told me that it's expensive to bowl here, it was pretty cheap in Michigan so i'm curious to see where you guys go and how much you pay. Thanks!
Okay, I'm going and have decided to go alone and meet people along the way. Since I haven't lived in Houston in about two years, I have found it hard to keep track with old friends. So, there's obviously a new horizon for new friends and I'm attending a few shows, The Wild Moccasins and The McKenzies were bands that I featured at the magazine I work for, so this is kind of a two fold to check those bands out and also meet up with other people who are going alone. We can make it a group outing! LOL..anyways, decided to post this online.
This is my first October in Houston. Can anyone fill me in on Halloween events or direct me to a website that can? Haunted attractions, hayrides, etc?

Hello there, I'm new here!
Hubby and I will be new to the Houston area around Christmas time. We are currently living in the Amarillo area (yes, its awful ;) ) in a 2000 sq. ft. ranch home and our current house payment is around $1200/mo. (just for reference).
We will be looking for a decent sized 2 bedroom apartment near Clear Lake / Pasadena that isn't going to break the bank but is still nice. We are willing to shell out *a bit* for some amenities.
Any recomendations? I have looked at numerous apartments, but it is so hard to tell online what sort of people you will be dealing with.
Please share your experiences.

Anyone know of any pumpkin patches in the Houston area? I'd prefer something not too far from the Galleria area but I don't mind driving out a bit either.
I'm looking for a restaurant at which I can host a Saturday brunch for a group of 20-30. The restaurant would need to be in the Rice U./Montrose/Museum District are and would preferably have a room or area that they would set aside for our group. I'm having a hard time finding reasonably-priced places that meet these requirements and have a breakfast or brunch menu on Saturdays (lots have Sunday brunch, but not Saturday).
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

hello! my boyfriend may get a job in houston soon, so just incase, i was wondering if anyone knows some good apartments to look at.
if he gets the job, we'll have to make a trip just to find an apartment, and i want to make sure we see what's available so we get something nice but still pretty affordable.
thanks!

I am going to a show at Walter's on Washington and I am curious what the place is like. Their website is crap. Is it a nice club to see a show at?

I totaled my car, and I know I'm supposed to send the license plate back, but I have no idea what address to send it to. Has anyone dealt with this recently? Do you know if it's a specific department of the DMV or something? Do you have the address? Thanks!

I'm prepping for the GRE, and I'm trying to find a tutoring center that will help me with my math. I have an LD in math, so I need some major reviewing. Doing it by myself isn't cutting it. Sylvan and Huntington do not do GRE. Does anyone know of other places? Do any of the colleges have tutoring programs?
Hey all,
I'm cleaning out the house and have a big box of tiles along with a nice tile cutter and hammer for mosaic work. If anyone out there wants it, it's yours. Otherwise, do any of you know of a specific studio or class (or who/whatever) I could donate it to? I shuttle between the 1960/Champions area and Montrose quite a bit, so something in those areas would be ideal.
Thanks!
