I was just watching Law & Order: SVU, and saw Kay Howard!

It was an episode about a girl whose family is in witness protection, but then she meets her birth parents, and the actress who played Kay was her birth mother! I didn't realise it was her until right at the end, where she had really pretty hair - which is soooo not a Kay thing! She looked great! Much older, but looking fantastic.

Other than Munsch, what have the others been in lately?

Ooooh! And I saw Frank Pembleton in Salem's Lot. It fiiiiinally aired here in Australia, so I got to see it :)

I am going to be in Maryland this week and I've heard that you can see the location where they filmed HLOTS. Does anybody know an address for this place that I can put into mapquest or something? Any help would be appreciated. Tomorrow I call the Maryland Film office.

My favourite season is 4, probably because that was the first one I ever caught, and I admit to having something of a predilection for Kellerman ;). Anyway, I offer this one-shot as a tribute...

I just finished watching "The Damage Done" from Season 5. I really loved this episode. It's a very good M&M Boys episode.

My question is this:

Does anyone happen to know the song (and its artist) that played whenever the Godmother (of the victims' child) came to visit Mikey when he was lifting weights? It's beautiful! I looked at the song list on the DVD, but I couldn't tell which one it was.


Season 6 was released on Jan. 25. I *so* need to get that boxset. Sometimes when I watch these episodes, it makes me really miss this show.

Everyone-

I have been on Live Journal for years now and I just found out about this site! I am so glad to have found a place to talk Homicide with folks who are true fans of the show! I've tried looking for message boards and stuff, but they either had lame ads on them ("Try this diet for free for three weeks") or they hadn't had posts since May!

I have always loved this show, but never really watched it religiously. I recently bought the seasons 1-3 boxsets and it has started my interest in the show again. It's cool because all of the facts that I missed before are making sense.

Thank God for DVD!

So, I would love to hear from any of you sometime and talk about HLOTS! I really love Tim Bayliss. Yeah, many posts will be about that character in the future.

Would love to talk more, but I am at work and I kinda need to be...*working* ;) heh.

Hey, everyone. I just discovered this community, but "Homicide: LOTS" is my favorite show ever. EVER.

My favorite characters were Meldrick Lewis & Tim Bayliss. (I didn't see Bayliss or Kyle Secor listed in this community's interests.) And I met Ned Beatty (Bolander) a few years back, & told him how much I enjoyed him on the show.

Hello all. I'm Melissa (mellay), and just joined. I've let some friends on a Law & Order community know about this community, in hopes that it flourishes.

Homicide is my favorite program, aside from Law & Order. I love many aspects of the show: the acting, which always seems natural and not forced; the characters, who always have some hidden depth to them; the cinematography, having a raw feel to it by using the hand-held cameras. They all came together to make the show unique in the "cop-drama" genre.
I watched the show from the debut episode. My grandmother and I always watched Law & Order together, and one night we saw a promo for Homicide. We decided that we would watch it, and were both hooked from the get-go. I wish it were still airing on CourtTV in the US. They used to air at least 2 episodes every weeknight from midnight to 2am, and 2-4 episodes on the weekend. Now, the only time it's on t.v. is when TNT shows a Law & Order episode that has a Homicide cross-over (which there are 3: "Charm City/For God and Country," "Baby It's You," and "Sideshow"). At least they acquiesce that there are fans of both shows who would be thouroughly dissappointed if both shows were not aired.

My husband, who is a wonderful gift buyer, got me the Seasons 1&2 dvd set for Christmas last year after seeing me squeal and drool over it in the stores. I'm hoping that I'll get at least Season 3 set this year, if not Season 4 as well. I can wait for Season 5 until my birthday, since it's less than a month and a half from Christmas.
I'm also pleased to say that my husband never liked cop-dramas until we got together. First, I started watching Law & Order around him. Then I threw in Third Watch. When he got me the Homicide set, he sat down and watched 6 episodes with me in one sitting. Very proud, indeed.

Am I the only one who gets excited seeing the Homicide actors on other things? I saw City of Angels just for Andre Braugher, same with Frequency (though I really enjoyed Frequency :P) and got all excited about some episode of Nightmare on Elm street because Yaphet Kotto was in it... OOOH! And Alien has Yaphet in it! And Kyle Secor was in an episode of CSI recently, and ummm the guy who plays Mike Giardello was in Law and Order something, too.
