Welcome back to Altered Visions. Been a nice break for us here as we got things together and reevaluated some things. First off please Welcome Tom Moses to the Assistant EiC Chair. I have been getting increasingly busy and Tom has graciasiously accepted the post. Another thing is our X-Line has jump 3 months. This was done because I felt that the X-Line were on par with our timeline and seemed to be off in thier own world, well that is gonna be a changin'. To start out that 3 month jump we have 3 new titles starting from the X-Line and a Fan Favorite returns strong with Slingers #13.

Ex-Man #1 By Ed Ainsworth

When the world stops believing, all manner of bad things can happen. Just ask Nate Grey, as humanity is thrown into turmoil due to something eating away at its belief structure in, the gods of old days start tearing themselves apart. His only help in the matter is quite an unlikely source...can Nate Grey stop the Meme-bomb before conceptual thought is entirely erased or even prevent a damaging catastrophe? Threnody sure hopes so!

X-Force #0 By Brian Hamilton

Welcome to the 6th release of HEROES Fanzine. Took awhile to get this update out because of the overwhelming response this time around. Not much more to say but come on down and read these great articles, previews, interviews and reviews. We got 5 new interviews 3 new Reviews and 3 site previews.

Halfway through February 2008, the original fanfic group quietly returned. Marvel Volume 1 was formed via the Avengers Assemble website as a “what if” breaking off from the beginning of the Heroes Return storyline, using the original numbering of Marvel’s top titles. I should have done this a while ago, but I didn’t get around to it. And after reading Jason McDonald’s solid response to this challenge, I felt I should pitch in as well. The site I would create is an Image/Wildstorm site. And it would be an “Ultimate” version, starting off from square one. Because let’s face it, a lot of these Image properties, when first created, were nothing more than cheap knock-offs of existing characters. Your challenge this month is to take any two characters of any universe and pit them against each other. Do you think Superman can take out the Sentry or Batman can take out the Midnighter then write that scene make it as gory as you want, or you think they'd drink tea and talk about the new fall line go for that too. WRITING OPENINGS AT MARVEL REBORN
For those of you that aren’t familiar with the fine Marvel Reborn fan fiction site we have two imprints.

At THE WORLD WITHOUT HEROES imprint our break off point is right after the heroes disappear fighting Onslaught. In this world, that was their final appearance. The loss of the 17 has caused a huge vacuum in the balance of good and evil.

What we are really looking for is a brave writer to take on the unique Thor title that is just waiting there!

We aren’t looking for any new ongoing series but mini series and one and two shots for our anthology are more than welcome. The nooks and crannies need filling before we take on a new ongoing.

1 - 2 chapters for the antho, 3 or more chapters for a mini.

Our second imprint is MARVEL PRIME. The break off point from 616 is just prior to the Apocalypse: The Twelve storyline.

Amazingly, shockingly, adverbially there are only 2 titles here! There is The Avengers by James McKenna and The X-Men by Eric Roman. Fine company to be writing next to. No Iron Man title, no Thor yet, no Captain America yet. More free titles than should be allowed by law!

We’re open to both ongoing and mini series here so come and throw something interesting down as soon as inspiration strikes!
