Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Fine I hope. Now to state the purpose of this post.

After long consideration, I have decided to close the application post. And I'm afraid it's rather permanent this time.

Why? Because I think 200+ members is a nice number and it provides plenty of icons made by talented people for everyone to look at. Plus the number of applications that I get has lessened a lot.

The memberslist will stay the way it is now. No new members are accepted. I will not grant you special permissions, even if you make icons that are out of this world. The answer will still be no. I've made up my mind and I'll stick to my decision.

To all members of this community: Please keep posting icons from now until forever! If you have any comments/questions or have switched journals and want me to change your membership, then feel free to leave a message to this post :)

Hi there, I wondered if it would be ok to pimp my new community in here when I post my next batch of icons? I set it up with [info]downpour, the mod of [info]hp_awards. It's called [info]iconrecognition, and the concept is basically to make nominating icons easier on everyone. Primarily it's for the icon-maker, who can post ten of their own icons a week, ones that they are really proud of, and think that they deserve to be nominated. But it's also for the people who nominate, because they can go to the community, find icons that want to be nominated quickly, and thus give the awards communities more traffic!

I didn't want to post a promo post without your permission. Please let me know if it's ok... and if you want to be an affiliate? Thank you!

Hi! I used to be a member here as shagalote, but that journal got hacked (and then suspended by LJ because there wasn't any way for me to get it back securily). Would it be possible to change my membership to this username? Thanks in advance.
