This is the LiveJournal community for the Genetic and Evolutionary Computation KSU Investigation and Experimentation Studio, a working group organized by students at Kansas State University, with support from and participation by faculty and research staff.
GECKIES currently consists of graduate students with strong interests in genetic and evolutionary computation (GEC) and hosts a seminar and discussion group (Fridays at 16:00 Central during Spring, 2004). Papers and projects discussed here emphasize Genetic Programming (GP), but also include Genetic Algorithms, Evolutionstrategie and Evolutionary Algorithms, parallelism, scalability, computational complexity, and convergence analysis. General issues related to intelligent adaptive systems and soft computing will also be discussed.
Please note: Feel free to add this community, where you may post unmoderated discussions. Please be advised, however, that the main posting forum for GECKIES is the GECKIES Wiki, hosted at the KSU Laboratory for Knowledge Discovery in Databases.
