Good Charlotte was the veteran band on the tour, with four releases under its belt and its sound was the cleanest.
Lead singer Joel Madden remarked on the audience’s age when he introduced a song from the group’s self-titled debut which came out in 2000.
“Some of you were just six years old … three years old or in diapers,” he said, before launching into “Little Things.”
The group performed songs from all its releases, including its latest, “Good Morning Revival.”
When it launched into “I Don’t Want Be In Love,” the audience was singing almost as loud as the band.
At the end of the set, Madden thanked everyone in the audience for its support over the years.
Jamie Arcelay, of Poughkeepsie, came to the show mainly for Good Charlotte and was celebrating her 16th birthday.
Her favorite song?
“Anthem … it was one of the first songs I knew by them,” she said. The song she didn’t get to hear but wanted to was, “Predicatable” off “The Chronicles of Life and Death,” the band’s third release.
