New Good Omens fic: "Two Ways About It" - Azirphale/Crowley - R Title: Two Ways About It Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley Rating: R Notes: This is...welcome at best, I think, and terribly random at worst. It's as if I'm only just now emerging from some long nap I'd never intended to take. Either that or the muses are really starting to let me know I've hit critical mass as far as the number of fandoms on which I can spend energy - and which ones I'm neglecting! Summary: It's never as you had expected, and always more than you'd dreamed. (If anyone had told Crowley it would happen during the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, he'd have told them they were bloody insane.) |

Here's a crossover for you to dissect: Title: Rivalries Fandom: The Dark Knight (Nolanverse)/ SandmanPairing/Characters: Batman/Joker, all of the Endless Rating: PG-13/R Notes: As with The Dreams of Others, I'm once again compelled to see what an injection of graphic-novel influence will do to the Nolanverse. Granted, the Endless are not going to be interacting with anybody directly; this story's more an exploration of what meddling they might be doing just beyond the fabric of reality. It seems to me that the Endless would take a keen interest in such an epic struggle as this one (or passing interest, depending on which one of them we're talking about). This time, my apologies are not only to Dave McKean, but also to Neil Gaiman. Sir, I worship the 'net you blog on; you'd have my head for the Good Omens infractions alone. Summary: Kindred is as kindred does, and humans aren't any different. (I. Twins / II. Brothers / III. Companions / IV. Lovers) |

Heart of Gold - Pt. 1 So, this isn't REALLY a fan fiction it's all orginal except for an idea I have permission for. There is, in Smoke & Mirrors, a preface to a story about a demented Jack in the Box. In the preface, Mr. Gaiman mentions another Lisa Snellings sculpture that he has, that consists of a girl with wings in a cage, holding out a feather to a passer by while her captor sleeps. He said "I think there might be a book in that." I thought there might be a STORY in that, so I e-mailed him via his website to ask him if it was okay to use the idea and he wrote back: "Go for it."
This is what I have so far. More to come. Let me know what you think! (p.s.- It's not been beta'd, so all mistake are mine. Point them out for me please. I've been over it four times. If I've not found it by now, I never will.)
Love,
Meg |

New fic: "Your Assignment, Should You Choose to Accept It" - Aziraphale/Crowley - PG13/R Title: Your Assignment, Should You Choose to Accept It Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley Rating: PG-13/Rish. I do love my borderlines. Notes: As I'm sure many of you know from having read Seven Deadly Signs You're Going to Fail, I'm of the opinion that, like any employee at a big corporation or organization, Aziraphale and Crowley are both subject to fairly regular performance interviews. This story isn't explicitly related to the former, but it's definitely meant to be read in the same spirit. Also, this story is either an Art History student's fondest dream or worst nightmare. I can't decide which, and if it should turn out to be the latter, I offer humblest apologies to the art students in my readership. Summary: Crowley's up for review, and his major failing is far more specific than he'd like. Even worse, Dagon's slapping down an even more specific ultimatum… (Your Assignment, Should You Choose to Accept It) |

Living in Sin (Good Omens) Author: Bitterfig Title: Living in Sin Fandom: Good Omens Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley Summary: Aziraphale found that while Paradise had been simple the world made by mankind was much more complicated. Beta Reader: Fedink Word Count: 400 Rating: PG-13 Warnings: Implied sex, religious themes (including a bit of snarking aimed at the Christian Right). . Author’s Note: I wrote this for slashthedrabble challenge #160: Snake right after reading the Ted Hughes poem “ Theology” which veleda_k had posted on her journal for National Poetry Month. Tidbit for a sub-fandom that seems nearly non-existent (no jest intended)... Title: The Price of Debt Fandom: NeverwhereCharacters: Marquis de Carabas (and others) Rating: PG-13 Notes: This is my third and final pledged Sweet Charity goodie (for Tuesday – many, many thanks!) She requested a Neverwhere story that centers on the Marquis, and this will, as a result, be my first time writing in this fandom ( is there anything resembling a Neverwhere fandom? Something to explore, I suppose). In any case, this was hardly a chore, as the Marquis has always been one of my favorite characters. Summary: A man can learn many things from a brush with death – if he so chooses. (The worst part about it, de Carabas reflected, wasn't even the scar.) |
