New single: Jesus
I'm not even kidding.
C/W is a re-working of Rebirth's "Sayounara," one of the very few (only?) Gackt songs I can actually say I don't care for.
IS HYDE BEING A BAD INFLUENCE ON GACKT? With his lighthearted amusement of Christianity, Christian imagery, "THANK YOU JESUS" etc.? Time will tell.
P.S. No that is not Gackt with facial hair on the cover of the fanclub-only version that comes with a DVD.
P.P.S. Since some people elsewhere are LOL WAT'ing harder than I think is deserved, allow me to addend this post with the same thing I said there...
This is NOT the first time a Japanese musician has done a song related to Christianity before.
I sincerely doubt Gackt has gone crazy, converted, etc. Luna Sea has an album with a nun on the cover (I think) and a song called Jesus; Hyde's concerts (in 2003 AND 2006) featured Bible verses projected all over the arenas and he wrote a sappy Christmas song that ends with the line "Thank you, Jesus" (and he's a self-professed agnostic) -- and Gackt ALREADY did a song called "Maria" which, if I recall correctly, contains lyrics referencing the Virgin Mary.
Hell, BUCK-TICK did a song that had bits of the Quran in it.
I think people are forgetting that less than 2% of Japan's population profess to be Christians; there is no shock value to this.

I've finally been able to work even a little bit on a subtitling project, and because I feel bad about not having it up sooner, I spent a bit of time getting even just part of it up.
So consider this a preview for what will be uploaded in the future - the Gackt, Yoshiki, Heyx3 dinner. :) It is just a short scene, 2 minutes, but it was my favorite of the entire interview and I really wanted to put something out there for those who've been waiting. And with the way things may have been lately I thought everybody could use a laugh.
