Darkness challenge: Lessons in Optics
"I overheard you telling Tsuzuki-san that darkness doesn't creep."

Watari looked up from his experiment. "Yes?"

Tatsumi held his hand in front of the work light. They both watched as the shadow slid across the surface of the counter and tapped on a vial.

Watari grinned suddenly and motioned for Tatsumi to follow him. "I want to demonstrate something," he explained as he pulled Tatsumi into the supply closet. He hummed as he knelt to push a towel against the crack under the door. The closet went pitch black.

"Okay, Mr. Shadow Master," Watari's voice purred. "Let's see you creep."

Hey! Get your mind out of that gutter! Watari took Tatsumi in there to demonstrate a property of physics! Shadows need light to exist. Therefore even if Tatsumi can make shadows creep, darkness will just sit there. Perfectly innocent scientific demonstration. Really. No, really. What are you looking at me like that for?

*coughs*

What Tatsumi got from the demonstration, on the other hand, is beyond the scope of the drabble.
