1. Follow the necessary posting and subject line formats.

2. When sharing manga please indicate the title, genre (shoujo/shounen/yaoi/yuri/etc.) and just a short synopsis about it, if possible (it's really not required but it's very helpful). Add the same information for the tags (below the "Mood" textbox when posting an entry). More complete tagging guidlines are here.* Files may include but are not limited to scanlations, scans, raws, doujinshi, and artbooks. When requesting and discussing a specific manga series or any topic in general, make sure you add TAGS as well. There are subject formats to be followed. Please refer to the bottom of the page.

*The mods are aware of the issues due to lj's new 1,000 tag limit. We are not going to hold being unable to add a new tag against you; you don't have to let us know there was a tag problem per each of your posts.

3. Keep posts in-topic. Please avoid posting entries that is not related to manga scanlations. Accepted topics: scanlations, raws, scans, miscellaneous download-related guides, and recommendations or discussions/questions. Unrelated posts will be deleted without prior notice.

4. NO advertising. This includes: non-scanlation-related communities, "for sale" mangas, links that earn a user money or other merchandise being sold, links from which members profit, and websites unrelated to manga scanlations/scans/raws. This is a FREE community, so selling any form of goods defeats that purpose. Advertisement-related offenses will not be tolerated. You may advertise shrines or fansites for specific manga series. Scanlation, scans, doujinshi, and raws-related communities and/or websites may be advertised, as long as it is not done repeatedly. Raw or scanlation sites (like GoComic) are different and links may be shared at any given period of time. This does not fall under advertisements, but rather under sharing.

5. Before requesting a series, check if it has been shared before and if the links still work. Use the tag index page to see.

6. Possible sanctions for breaking rules: being removed from the member list or having a member's posting access removed. So, yes, follow rules. Wrong posting FORMATS (subject lines, tags, images, etc.) will earn a warning for each event and user names that have committed an offense will be taken note of. Five offenses will cause you to lose your posting access.

7. PUBLIC POSTS are considered offenses and will be deleted as soon as the mod checks.

8. Some groups do not allow their projects to be shared in the community. Some only allow it after a period of time (usually a week) before releases are shared outside their group. When scanlation groups request their projects not to be shared within the community personally, the community will abide by their request. These posts will be deleted. Instead of redistributing, please direct users to the scanlators web site. Currently, Fushichou and Dragon Voice releases fall under this rule.

Before requesting, please search through popular manga hosting or rotation sites or you may check if it's been shared before. The community has a tag index page for our own archives. Even when requesting, please add tags so some uploads made under REQUEST posts can be searched. Tag guidelines can be read here. Make sure your request has not been made recently before posting a new entry. Please put this in the SUBJECT of your post:
