The biggest & best Halloween Party! "DEAD SOULS" tomorrow Sat Oct 27th at Disintegration!! Disintegration's HUGE HAlloween bash is tomorrow Saturday October 27th!!!This is the party of the year and not to be missed!! We go full out with decor, prizes and festivity!! Disintegration was one of two places in Denver chosen to promote the new Ian Curtis/Joy Division movie "CONTROL." The promotional party, complete with give-aways, trailer clips, and more happens to fall on the same weekend as Disintegration's massive Halloween celebration. So in memory of Ian Curtis, and many other musicians and artists that have influenced our generation, Disintegration is proud to present "DEAD SOULS" a Halloween/Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 27 at The Atrium (554 S. Broadway, Denver, CO). Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the costume contest. In order to be eligble for the contest, you do need to be dressed in the theme... either Dia De Los Muertos or a dead idol of your liking. Values of prize packages (consisting of items from our 7 sponsors) are over $350 for 1st, over $250 for 2nd and over $150 for 3rd. We will also be giving goody bags for the first 50 costumed patrons, and there will also be a raffle containing several BPAL items!!! Thank you to all our wonderful generous sponsors! Please show them your support! :) Black Phoenix Alchemy LabFilter MagazineBrave New World Tattoo329 14th St Denver, CO 80202 (720) 946-0801 The Crypt8 Broadway (clothing) 139 Broadway (video) 303-733-3112 FashioNation613 East 13th Ave 303-832-2909 Moon Maiden JewelryMetropolis RecordsDISINTEGRATION SATURDAYSThe most progressive mix of Industrial/EBM/FuturePop/Electro/DarkWav e/Goth w/ DJSlave1, 0N1X, and SN1P3R @ "THE ATRIUM"554 South Broadway Denver CO $7.00 cover all night 21+ only ***$3.00 well drinks all night!!!!!***"Disintegration" LiveJournal community | | Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 | 9:53 am [slave1]

Disintegration's "DEAD SOULS" Halloween party!! Just wanted to give everyone the heads up about Disintegration's Huge Annual Halloween Bash!! This year the event will be held on Saturday October 27th at The Atrium. As most of you know, Disintegration Halloween parties have been the party of the year for the past 3 years and we aim to keep that tradition going!
The theme this time around is "DEAD SOULS"! This theme is in honor of Ian Curtis because of the official "CONTROL" movie promotion that will also be happening that night. In the spirit and decor of Day of the Dead we are going to be celebrating the lives of all the talented stars from our scene and beyond that have died over the years. Ian Curtis, Tony Wilson, Sid Vicious, Joe Strummer, Michael Hutchence, etc etc the list is sadly far too long... All types of costumes are encouraged but we will be offering spectacular prizes for best costumes relating to the theme.
Stay tuned for further details and the flyer, but mark your calendars now and keep the date reserved.

[cross-posted in facc424] Hello. For the last couple of years I have slowly been plotting to collect all of Martin Hannett's work, a hobby which seemed in reach at it's conception. Now, every turn I make I see whole other avenues he went down and bands I have never heard of. This might seem a mamoth task, one perhaps nobody has the patience for, but if anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it: i. Does anyone have a list of all Martin Hannett's production credits? ii. Or, ahem, could you list one here of all you know? blueslide has already informed me of two Martin Hannett collections. One, FACT 325, looks very incomplete and not very interesting. The other I can't seem to find. Thank you. 24hrpartypeople I have started yet another Factory Records related community. This time, based on the nightlife that the movement it inspired, and loosely on the motion picture, 24 Hour Party People. Appropriately, the name of the community is 24hrpartypeople. Discussion is not limited to Factory; each member is encourage to endorse all goings on and events in their local scene. Factory was the beginning of a revolution, one that remains to this day, and this community celebrates nightlife and embraces the music and people that make it happen. Do you know of a club or venue where it all happens? This might be your community. Are you a fan of Joy Division, Happy Mondays, The Durutti Column, and the like? 24hrpartypeople opens on January 31, 2003. This community is affiliated with swankers | | Saturday, January 18th, 2003 | 3:46 am [slumberjack]

Has anyone seen 24-Hour Party People? If so, is it a fairly accurate portrayal? | | Thursday, August 1st, 2002 | 2:39 am [tylore]

Wow, this looks like it's going to be a very interesting community. I hope to find out a lot about this relatively obscure music scene. | | Tuesday, July 30th, 2002 | 10:48 am [theplateauphase] |
The Factory Sampler This is the first post on the LiveJournal community Factory Benelux; I am the moderator, Ian. For a description of the club, I suggest that you visit here. Anything remotely related to any of the interests featured in the bio or the interest column on the aforementioned page is welcome to be discussed. Promotions of other communities and music will be tolerated as long as its at least remotely related to this club. For those of you who are unfamiliar with anything here, I guide you to this playlist located here, which features a recording of this broadcast and at least fifteen Factory-esque bands (quite a few of them are rarities). As you'll discover, this was broadcasted on the twentieth anniversary of the opening of Manchester, England's Hacienda club, which was a notorious Factory Records and New Order moderated dance/concert venue. Anyway, thank you for your time, and enjoy the community.- -Ian
