Hi all :) Looks like this community is fairly slow, but thought I'd join and say hi anyway :).
So hi! All the usual things- I'm a fan of the books first and foremost but adore the movies; at thirteen I threw ROTK across the room when I realised Eowyn wasn't going to get to marry Aragorn... that sort of thing :)
I used to be fairly active in LOTR fandom, although never on LJ. I've just got into fanfic and LJ fandom thanks to the Narnia movies and am poking around LJ in search of LOTR comms.
Aside from Eowyn's general awesomeness, the Rohirrim are my favourite Tolkienite society: partly because they're so little explored, and partly because I share Tolkien's love of Anglo-Saxon studies.
Right now I'm up to my ears in Narnia and uni work, but when both of those settle down, I'll probably come out of the woodwork again, perhaps bearing LOTR fanfic and/or meta discussion. I also do icons occaisionally- mostly funny ones like the one I've used here.

hey i am new here, since seeing the movies i have been a fan of Eowyn i read the books after seeing the movies
i like making fanvids and i just made an Eowyn one to the song not ready to make nice by the dixie chicks

Hello Éowyn fans. I have a limited edition, rare & very hard to find Franklin Mint Éowyn Doll designed by the Brothers Hildebrant which I am considering selling. I remember when I first purchased her, I posted about her on this community and several people mentioned that they had been looking for this doll for many years. She is in absolutely MINT condition - she is still in her Franklin Mint box and still has the tissue paper over her face. I purchased her on eBay several years ago, and even though I search for Éowyn on eBay often, I've *never* seen another one for sale anywhere.
If anyone is seriously interested in purchasing her I will provide a detailed description & photographs. Please email bethany_eowyn@yahoo.co.uk for more info & to make an offer. If no one here is interested she will be auctioned on eBay.

I'm looking for someone who does layouts for websites!
LadyofRohan.com needs a new layout. I've never been quite happy with the last one I created, but I haven't the time to make a new one... not to mention that my html skills are seriously out of practice!
Is there anyone who does web design would would be willing to create a new layout for me?
I can pay in goods (I have lots of LOTR collectables as well as X-Men and My Little Pony) or cash (though I'm not moneybags) or a combo of both!
