Radio Golgotha - News & Upcoming Events It has been an incredible first month. We have had hundreds of unique listeners tune in from as far away as Finland, Canada, Hong Kong and dozens from our home base in Tampa, FL. We are particularly happy to welcome out German visitors which have made up almost 20% of our listenership. Now that we have stablized some of the technical launch issues, we will continue to add to our library of albums so that there will new music in rotation everyday including some smaller, but very interesting regional talent. We also have new sets from DJ Devious, Maus and DJ Xanthus set to premiere next week. In the next few months, we'll continue this trend with the programming shifting towards more Djs, more often. You'll hear club sets from England, Germany and all over the US. Thanks for your continuous support!! -Radio Golgotha Staff www.radiogolgotha.comUPCOMING EVENTS

New International Goth Forum - www.goth.net.au Hello East London,
Thank you for letting me join your group.
I'm an admin at a new international gothic forum at www.goth.net.au and would like to invite you to join and promote your scene, get news on what is happening in other scenes around the world, and keep in contact with other goths.
If you have your own, local, active forum, let me know and I can put a link to it on our forum so that locals can use it to keep in contact with your scene, while still interacting with goths worldwide. If you don't have your own local forum, I will be glad to create a subforum and appoint a local as the moderator.

Goth/alternative bring & buy and swapmeet Calling all London goths! There will be an informal pre-Whitby bring & buy / swapmeet at the Knights Templar pub ( http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/15/1536/Knights_Templar/Chancery_Lane) near Chancery Lane in London next Wednesday 18th October 2006 from 6.30pm. Any goth/alternative clothes, accessories etc welcome. Great way to pick up Whitby outfits, make some cash and have a good night out! Please note this is an informal event - please don't turn up with clothesrails etc, as the pub won't appreciate it. Current Mood: busy | | Monday, October 9th, 2006 | 10:31 am [themadcatlady]

We need someone to take over horror/sci-fi cult film website... Sorry for this being not East London Goths related, but we need help. Exhausted web administrator would love to meet willing victim and get them to run The Rumour Machine ( www.rumourmachine.com), a popular genre film review website catering for the Horror, Fantasy, Sci Fi and Alternative Cult Cinema genres. The site has been built up and run by Lee Bailes for over 5 years. His new work commitments mean that he is unable to remain involved with the website and is planning to shut it down unless someone else demonstrates a willingness to take over the workload and wants to run the website. Lee is willing to hand everything over to the person who best demonstrates a love for the genres and a genuine enthusiasm for the momentous task of taking over the site. The chosen victim will receive one well used website, the domain name, an established readership and film industry contacts and a very useful marketing tool. If you're interested get in touch with the rumour_man! You have one week and the clock is ticking now..... | | Thursday, July 27th, 2006 | 2:26 pm [digitalangel]

Pub Quiz Everyone is invited to join us at the Birkbeck Tavern on 30th July for their monthly pub quiz. It's right near Leyton tube and starts about 8pm. Will probably split into teams of 3-4 and if it's like last time, will cost £1 each but got a free bottle of Carlsberg. We could also get there earlier and enjoy the quite large beer garden. Pub prices about average (Stella £2.80/£2.90), old Victoria pub and also serves real ale including their own (my mum (connoisseur) says it's nice) brew... | | Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006 | 11:31 pm [yog_sthoth]

Swop I hope this is OK by the mods, if not, please delete as you see fit!
I live in London and have a excellent condition, hardback, black cover, childrens version of Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire.
I would like to swop with someone (in easy distance) the exact same book and quality but the adults's version as my partner bought me the adult boxset for my birthday!
Feel free to email me at the address on my user page! | | Monday, December 27th, 2004 | 5:35 pm [vinctus]

New years.. Does anyone know if anything is going on at the Dev on New Years Eve or is it just where people will be gathering before they head off to Slimes? I was going to head down there but won't bother if it's likely to empty at around 10pm leaving me, a scattering of others and the bar staff looking at each other. Would be grateful if anyone who knows could comment. Thanks. Apologies for cross posting. Current Mood: contemplative | | Friday, December 3rd, 2004 | 5:56 pm [valkyriekaren]

Dev, anyone? Not really an East London event, but I'm planning on sinking a few jars in the Dev this evening - probably from about 7.30 or 8pm onwards. Anyone feel like coming along? Current Mood: cheerful | | Monday, October 25th, 2004 | 6:42 pm [duster340]

It is princesssulky's birthday on the 10th November, and I thought some sort of a 'do' is in order. What I am therefore proposing is that we all get together on Saturday, the 6th November at the George in Wanstead. I know it's the first weekend after Whitby but the week after clashes with Nick and Kirstens housewarming. And besides it's a Witherspoons so all of your 2 for 1 binge drinking needs will be met. Last time I checked they had G&Ts for 99p, so really you have no excuse. You can even ponce my fags, if it helps. I'm thinking 7pm., to ensure we have plenty of drinking time. Everyone who can see this is invited, as are people who cannot. Indeed, there is only one person who explicitly is not welcome but he should not be able to see this. However he is well known and well liked by a lot of you so if you are not sure, please comment or email me for clarification. And please do try to make it as I know she will be thrilled to see you all, as will I. We have been neglecting our social duties recently for various reasons and this seems like a perfect excuse to remedy the situation. Apologies for cross-posting. | | Monday, October 11th, 2004 | 1:15 pm [digitalangel]

Beer It might be of interest to some of you that The Walnut Tree in Leytonstone (Wetherspoons) is having a BEER FESTIVAL from the 4th to (I think) the 17th October. With many real ales (one of which will be a mere £1.50 a pint). |
