1/19/07 11:19 pm - [info]anomie666 - Government knows best

Here we go again. A California politician, in her infinite wisdom, wishes to tell parents exactly how to be parents.

Child abuse is a criminal activity, but we have never criminalized parental discipline. Whether you agree or disagree with corporal punishment, it is a parents obligation to raise their own children, not the government. We have the government in various locations already telling us we can't eat trans-fats for our own good, we can't smoke for our own good, we can't eat foie gras for the poor duckies own good....when is this going to stop??

A quick swat on the butt or slapping a child's hand is not child abuse, even on a child under 3 years of age. Child abuse is lasting physical harm -- actual abuse -- not momentary discomfort.

While I generally disagree with corporal punishment (B.F. Skinner and the other behaviorists in psychology has shown positive rewards are more effective than punishment and creating lasting changes to behavior), I strongly believe it is a parents prerogative to decide for themselves how to raise their own kids.

This fucking nanny State bullshit I hear over and over again sickens me. The government should stay the fuck out of our lives and not tell us how to be parents, what we should eat, what we should see on TV, or hear on the radio. Am I the only one outraged at all of this shit?

Millions of Hindus take holy bath

"The planetary alignment is such that sun rays, when they fall on the Ganges, turn the river water into nectar. So bathing here today is equivalent to drinking nectar," he says.

Next year, try adding some soap.

And call a Dentist while you're at it.

1/16/07 05:02 pm - [info]cornswalled - Muslim group sues over Bible-Based Marriage Counseling

It's not wise for Muslims to wander down the streets decapitating Christians in the US the way they can in Iran.  That doesn't stop them form harassing Christians in other ways though.

For example, a Muslim group is suing over Bible-Based Marriage Counseling.  apparently the simple concept of "Don't attend these counseling sessions" is foreign to them, and they feel they have no choice but to attack the very existence of such a program.

Because, you know, Heaven forbid Christians use the Bible as part of our marriage counseling.

1/16/07 01:38 pm - [info]cornswalled - Republican Presidential Victory in 2008 is now Guaranteed

Barack Obama announces run for White House

Suddenly, all the hype about Barak Hussein Obama makes perfect sense. The Democrats have been hying him in the hope of running him for President in 2008. This has been known, but the fact that he's officially thrown his hat into the ring is the news. They've confessed their idiot plans.

It doesn't really matter WHO The Republicans run for President in 2008. His victory is now all but guaranteed. The Democrats are clearly planning to offer two options.

Their first option, is Hillary Clinton, the single most reviled Democrat in recent memory. Even those who've abandoned Bush as a result for the Democrat Culture war against him will flock back to The Republican fold once they're confronted with an outright Socialist / Communist running for the office.

The second option is an inexperienced Freshman legislator with little real world experience. To make matters worse, his race guarantees that much of White America will vote for whoever the Republicans run if for no other reason than to avoid having a Black president.

Let's be blunt folks, you have to be a Christian heterosexual white male to get elected to the US Presidency. Generally, you have to be Protestant as well, but it's not unheard of for a Catholic to slip by, with sufficient voter fraud that is.

Hillary, being a female atheist is right out, even before her USSR style politics come into play.

Obama? Yeah, a black Muslim will be elected to the Presidency of the United States of America in a post 9/11 world. Riiight. Keep holding your breath Democrats.

10/26/06 02:24 pm - [info]mumbalo_jack - Religion of Peace

So we've all heard the multicultural leftist apologists praise Islam as a religion of peace, constantly telling us that it's only "the extremists" who are causing a problem.

... I beg to differ.

At the heart of Islam are the teachings of Muhammad, the prophet of Allah. Muhammad taught his followers that Islam should be spread through bloodshed and that non-believers should be slaughtered.

Muslims scream and shout at the infidels for not letting Muslims build huge mosques that obscure Londoner's view of Big Ben and other historically important buildings. However, many Muslim countries refuse to allow Christians, Jews or Buddhists to build ANY new churches or temples within the boundaries of their nations.

In the end, we all know that Islam is a religion of persecution and oppression.

Sure, sure you libtards out there will piss and moan about the Spanish Inquisition and the forced conversion of Aboriginal Americans. However, we find ourselves in the twenty-first century and the sires of Christianity (whether they are believers or not) now bend over backwards for non-westerners.

Jesus preached peace and forgiveness. Christianity, however corrupted by the Christian elite, is most certainly a religion of peace. Christianity actually planted the seeds for the enlightenment and our modern, tolerant society.

Muhammad was a warrior, torturer and child rapist. Wake the fuck up people.

Lovely Koran Quotes:

Surah XXII.9As for the unbelievers for them garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowels and skins shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods.

Surah XLVII.4When you meet the unbelievers, strike off their heads; then when you have made wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives

Surah V.75They surely are Infidels who say, 'God is the third of three': for there is but one God; and if they do not refrain not from what they say, a severe punishment shall light on those who are unbelievers (This is in relation to Christianity)

Surah V.51Believers, do not take Jews or Christians as friends. They are but one another's friends. If anyone of you takes them for his friends, then he is surely one of them. God will not guide evil doers

Surah V.56-64The hand of God is chained up, claim the Jews. Their own hand shall be chained up--and they shall be cursed for saying such a thing.

Surah IX.5-6Kill those who join other gods with God (i.e. idolators) wherever you may find them.

Surah VIII.12I will instill terror into the hearts of the Infidels. Strike off their heads, then, and strike off from them every fingertip.

... It goes on and on and on and on, but I feel I have no need to continue. I think you get the point, and if you don't... Perhaps you are lying to yourself. Perhaps you are afraid to admit the truth because your little bullshit liberal world would come crashing down before your very eyes.

P.S. I don't praise Christianity. I do believe, though, that in most cases Christians can live reasonably among non-believers.

10/5/06 01:29 pm - [info]anomie666 - the docuganda

It used to be that documentary films showed reality and would give the audience a chance to see or experience something that they usually could not do. The documentary was an educational tool to teach or to let someone gain a greater appreciation or perspective on the world.

That has changed.

The documentary as a fact based medium has been replaced with distortions and political agendas. The lines between reality and fantasy has been blurred where lies and distortions are perfectly acceptable and there is no need to give an honest presentation of a subject.

Michael Moore started the phenomena of never letting facts stand is his way and using the documentary medium as a visual Op Ed piece. Most people are too ignorant to do the research and to see how there are both direct factual lies, distortions, and a failure to presents facts that give a different interpretation. He is the ultimate conspiracy theorist and anyone with a handful of brain cells should be able to see that.

He has now influenced a wave a left wing agenda films that have been termed "docugandas". Films such as the upcoming Shut up and Sing, The US verses John Lennon and Jesus Camp. All of these films make left wing arguments and attempt to portray those who disagree with them as morons. They are all filled with lies, distortions, and dirty tricks. They are not an "artform" they are political opinion pieces.

With liberal hollywood, there isn't a chance in hell that the same dirty tricks and distortions will be used to distort reality with a right wing perspective. I just hope people will see that these films are not truth, they are highly selected footage used to make an argument using the medium of a documentary to give it legitimacy.

8/11/06 09:49 pm - [info]1pissedoffmofo - Castro: Dead or Alive?

Well it's been over a week since anyone has heard from Castro. However Cuban officials are claiming that he is alive and recovering in his palace. The rest of the world has its doubts. Seems that Cubans both in Cuba and here in the U.S. are celebrating his demise. The problem is that Fidel has reportedly appointed control of Cuba to his brother Raul. Raul is reportedly a less charismatic bigger dictator, than Fidel.

Now the topic of discussion is: Do you believe that Fidel is alive and well, or is this turning into a bad sequel of "Weekend At Bernie’s"?

7/11/06 07:02 pm - [info]mumbalo_jack - Are whites afraid to disagree with blacks?

http://jewishworldreview.com/0706/prager071106.php3

Here's a chunk of the article:
-----
I believed that this was the reason—not some racist animosity toward blacks—since such companies are paid to give accurate reports on audience reactions to radio programs, and clearly their results would be skewed without input from black listeners. But I still needed to test this thesis. Do most whites really not publicly say what they believe, if what they believe differs from what a black believes—even when the subject has absolutely nothing to do with race (i.e., reactions to a radio talk show discussing other subjects)?

So I posed to this question to my radio audience, and, sure enough, whites from around the country called in to say that they are afraid to differ with blacks lest they be labeled racist.

I could not imagine anything more detrimental toward abolishing racism and to enhancing black progress in America than such an attitude. But apparently it is the norm in American life to so fear being called a racist that individuals as well as institutions react to blacks as they would to children—humoring them rather than taking them seriously.

This also explains why, if one differs with a black, one is not perceived as merely disagreeing with him, but as “dissing” him. That is what started the liberal hatred of former Harvard University President Lawrence Summers. After asking Harvard Professor Cornel West to engage in more scholarship and less rap music making and politicking (West was a major figure in the Al Sharpton campaign for president), Professor West announced that President Summers had shown him “disrespect.” Even a Harvard president doesn’t tell a black professor what to do.
-----

My thoughts:

I've told several of you that whites, especially liberals, are afraid to disagree with blacks. I'm not just talking about racial issues here either. Time and time again I've seen whites go out of their way not to disagree with blacks, even when a black person makes a ignorant comment.

African-American Voters Scrubbed by Secret GOP Hit List
by Greg Palast

The Republican National Committee has a special offer for African-American soldiers: Go to Baghdad, lose your vote.

A confidential campaign directed by GOP party chiefs in October 2004 sought to challenge the ballots of tens of thousands of voters in the last presidential election, virtually all of them cast by residents of Black-majority precincts.
Files from the secret vote-blocking campaign were obtained by BBC Television Newsnight, London. They were attached to emails accidentally sent by Republican operatives to a non-party website.

One group of voters wrongly identified by the Republicans as registering to vote from false addresses: servicemen and women sent overseas.

Here's how the scheme worked: The RNC mailed these voters letters in envelopes marked, “Do not forward”, to be returned to the sender. These letters were mailed to servicemen and women, some stationed overseas, to their US home addresses. The letters then returned to the Bush-Cheney campaign as "undeliverable."

The lists of soldiers of "undeliverable" letters were transmitted from state headquarters, in this case Florida, to the RNC in Washington. The party could then challenge the voters' registration and thereby prevent their absentee ballot being counted.

One target list was comprised exclusively of voters registered at the Jacksonville, Florida, Naval Air Station. Jacksonville is third largest naval installation in the US, best known as home of the Blue Angels fighting squandron.

[See this scrub sheet at http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=160156893&context=set-72157594155273706&size=o ]

Our team contacted the homes of several on the caging list, such as Randall Prausa, a serviceman, whose wife said he had been ordered overseas.

A soldier returning home in time to vote in November 2004 could also be challenged on the basis of the returned envelope. Soldiers challenged would be required to vote by "provisional" ballot.

Over one million provisional ballots cast in the 2004 race were never counted; over half a million absentee ballots were also rejected. The extraordinary rise in the number of rejected ballots was the result of the widespread multi-state voter challenge campaign by the Republican Party. The operation, of which the purge of Black soldiers was a small part, was the first mass challenge to voting America had seen in two decades.

The BBC obtained several dozen confidential emails sent by the Republican's national Research Director and Deputy Communications chief, Tim Griffin to GOP Florida campaign chairman Brett Doster and other party leaders. Attached were spreadsheets marked, "Caging.xls." Each of these contained several hundred to a few thousand voters and their addresses.

A check of the demographics of the addresses on the "caging lists," as the GOP leaders called them indicated that most were in African-American majority zip codes.

Ion Sanco, the non-partisan elections supervisor of Leon County (Tallahassee) when shown the lists by this reporter said: “The only thing I can think of - African American voters listed like this – these might be individuals that will be challenged if they attempted to vote on Election Day.”

These GOP caging lists were obtained by the same BBC team that first exposed the wrongful purge of African-American "felon" voters in 2000 by then-Secretary of State Katherine Harris. Eliminating the voting rights of those voters -- 94,000 were targeted -- likely caused Al Gore's defeat in that race.

The Republican National Committee in Washington refused our several requests to respond to the BBC discovery. However, in Tallahassee, the Florida Bush campaign's spokespeople offered several explanations for the list.

Joseph Agostini, speaking for the GOP, suggested the lists were of potential donors to the Bush campaign. Oddly, the supposed donor list included residents of the Sulzbacher Center a shelter for homeless families.

Another spokesperson for the Bush campaign, Mindy Tucker Fletcher, ultimately changed the official response, acknowledging that these were voters, "we mailed to, where the letter came back – bad addresses.”

The party has refused to say why it would mark soldiers as having "bad addresses" subject to challenge when they had been assigned abroad.

The apparent challenge campaign was not inexpensive. The GOP mailed the letters first class, at a total cost likely exceeding millions of dollars, so that the addresses would be returned to "cage" workers.

“This is not a challenge list," insisted the Republican spokesmistress. However, she modified that assertion by adding, “That’s not what it’s set up to be.”
Setting up such a challenge list would be a crime under federal law. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 outlaws mass challenges of voters where race is a factor in choosing the targeted group.

While the party insisted the lists were not created for the purpose to challenge Black voters, the GOP ultimately offered no other explanation for the mailings. However, Tucker Fletcher asserted Republicans could still employ the list to deny ballots to those they considered suspect voters. When asked if Republicans would use the list to block voters, Tucker Fletcher replied, “Where it’s stated in the law, yeah.”

It is not possible at this time to determine how many on the potential blacklist were ultimately challenged and lost their vote. Soldiers sending in their ballot from abroad would not know their vote was lost because of a challenge.
