WELCOME!//THEME SUBMISSIONS
Welcome to [info]death_awards! We're an icon challenge community dedicated to the wonderful series DEATHNOTE.
Our first challenge will begin as soon as we have enough members to hold a decent challenge- about 10-15 members or so.

If you've just joined, please remember to read the rules and guidelines stated in the community user info page.

This community is also currently looking for banner makers and ONE additional mod, so if you're interested in the job- please respond to this post with your banner examples, or mod interest =).

If you have suggestions for the community or a particular theme you'd like to see- feel free to comment here and we'll be sure to consider them. We will keep the comments screened. In addition to suggestions, it'd also be greatly appreciated if you know any particular sites where members can go to for DEATHNOTE images to icon. Those sites will then be archived in the memories as a helpful resource for everyone.

Question about the fanart rule. Do doujinshi pictures count as fanart or are they allowed? I know the example icon is made with a doujinshi pic, so I'm kind of not sure. I figured I'd ask before to save trouble n_n

actually the example isnt from a doujinishi; its from chapter 75 ^_^ but the only fan art allowed is something created by the user submitting the icon

(so if you create doujinshi, feel free to use it, but if it's someone elses, you can not)

Oh yeah by the way, can the participants enter icons that were used to compete in another community but still remain anonymous?
