19th March 2008Im looking for one person to help out on the door/cloakroom at the next DaB [march 29th]. That person will be paid, and should be reliable, trustworthy and able to count money and stamp hands etc, and manage a gaggle of goths and deathrockers etc queing up to get in! Drop DeadMyspace INFO: 07981 234335/caveynik@yahoo.com 4th June 2007DJane Dead Meat and DJ Carcass arrived on Wednesday and we basically just kinda hung out for a couple of days, and Shadow [Shadow Reichenstein] arrived on Friday. We got to The Rocket the usual time, but we were greeted with an *empty* bar [no students whatsoever! Yay!] Which was a great help. There was a “Bangladeshi fashion show” upstairs, however as it tuned out it didn’t impact/effect DaB whatsoever… DJane Ghoul Girl joined us, we got set up and people gradually started coming in. This is probably the *best* DaB I’ve had for a few months; a much larger crowd than the last two months and a real *up for it* crowd. I think we had an excellent selection and mix of music from all the guest DJs and the crowd were not afraid to get on up! Thanks folks! It was a *top* night and I ended up dancing quite a bit myself, sold some advance tickets for the Scarlet’s Remains/Striplight/Varsovie gig on July 10th and a couple of Drop Dead magazines [I still have a handful to sell, btw!] only £4.99 [all the way from the US, and a darn good read!] Massive thanks to all the guest DJ’s and hats off to Ghoul Girl for coming over for DaB from Germany and then heading off to the airport [to go back to Australia] straight after! Hope the trip wasn’t to bad! I really just wanna say thanks to all the regular attendees and supporters/helpers of Dead and Buried. It’s a little annoying as I moved the date of DaB to avoid the monthly clash…Still, these things happen, and I think the last Friday is just as good as the first Friday… Saturday we just did some shopping and hung out in Camden etc and DJ Sadako and I DJ’d at The Dev [which was actually very busy]. After a somewhat *rude awakening* on Sunday [someone played probably the most un-funniest “practical joke” in history on us] it took a while to get into the swing of things, however we did some more shopping in Camden, had a few drinks and managed to catch Lucifer Star Machine in the evening [playing a somewhat *short* , but enjoyable set]. Now back at work. The Americans are all heading off today, so I hope their journeys are not too much of a pain for those guys! Fuck me – I’m off to Italy on Friday, DJing in Milan and Rome!
