London After Midnight Update (in SLC This Sunday!) It looks like London After Midnight's recent performances have been great successes. They had about 10,000 people watching them at Wave Gothic Treffen in Germany on May 11, and their recent tour with Mindless Self Indulgence brought out plenty of people just to see London After Midnight. Here's a photo (credit: Sandra) of them performing at the sold-out Los Angeles show on May 24: And this is a photo of singer Sean Brennan at an after-show fan meeting in Arizona on May 21: For the past week I've been in communication with members of the band and crew to make sure that everything will be ship-shape for their Salt Lake performance this Sunday. One of the documents they sent includes a list of their backing tracks. And while everything is always subject to change, I don't think anyone is going to be disappointed with their setlist. It looks like they are prepared to play all of their old hits...including a certain local favorite about being "dead in an hour." They will, of course, be playing a few new songs, too, which are really quite good. If you haven't heard them yet, do yourself a favor, and check out their new stuff at http://www.myspace.com/lamAlso, if you haven't seen the interview with Sean Brennan in the May issue of SLUG, it's well worth a read. London After Midnight leaves tomorrow for a full-scale national tour. They hit Portland on Thursday and Seattle on Friday before heading to Salt Lake City to perform at the Dark Arts Festival this Sunday, June 8. They'll be performing upstairs at Area 51 (451 W. 400 South), and they take the stage at 9 p.m. Admission is $15 at the door or $25 in advance for all three days of the festival through 24tix.com or at Arsenic Fashions. Don't miss the first-ever Utah performance by one of the definitive acts in the dark underground...or you'll be kicking yourself in your black velvet-clad ass! | | Monday, May 26th, 2008 | 12:21 pm [alanja]

Dark Arts Fundraiser Hey everybody,
As you saw on my previous post there will be a Dark Arts Fundraiser on October 13th at Club Vegas.
You might have also noticed that we will be having a raffle as well. This is where you come in. First, make sure to bring some cash with you so you can buy raffle tickets and have a chance to win some sweet prizes.
Also, we are looking for businesses and people to donate prizes to the raffle. We are graciously accepting merchandise and gift certificates from local businesses. Also, if you make, teach or do something of value we would appreciate donations from you as well. For example, perhaps you are a massage therapist that could donate a massage, or a dance teacher that offers lessons, or an artist that has some art to donate, or a photographer who would donate a photo shoot, or even a musician who would like to donate CDs. I think that we have so many interesting people that do so many interesting things, it could be the most eclectic raffle ever!
All proceeds go to fund the upcoming Dark Arts Festival and you will also get some exposure at the Fundraiser by having your name and prize announced at the raffle! Everybody wins!
If you are interested in donating any gift certificates or new items please comment here and we will take care of the arrangements! | | Saturday, September 22nd, 2007 | 11:22 pm [alanja]

Since I had some of Adrians pictures on my computer I set him up with a Deviant Art account. http://adrianslaughter.deviantart.com/ Now if you want to see his pictures, or maybe you wanted one for Dark Arts and didn't get one, or maybe you want a coffee cup instead, you can go and purchase one from his site. There are only a the pictures from this years Dark Arts up right now, but possibly soon there may be more.
