Still seething that my Word 74 fic got eaten by my computer. I'd actually managed "light romantic comedy" dangit!!
As a result, we're back to dark-and-depressing land, but at least with
some
flair.
Title:
Bank Shot (later scene)
Rating: ?? TV-14 for the whole story, probably TV-G for this segment
Fandom:

Sorry, I'm feeling snarky. Danged computer...

I read word 60 and saw it was dozen. Here's what I wrote, tell me what you think...
As the door slides open, creaking of course, I see a flash of color. As my curiousity grew, I swung the door open, to find roses on the bookcase. I smile to myself as I realize why they are here. I pick them up and stroke the tallest one with my index finger. A water droplet rolls off and onto my picture. As I stare into my reflection in the droplet, I think back to the day the tradition of dozen of roses started.
We stood at the alter. My heart was racing and my stomach was painful, as though someone has crunched it, like you would to a piece of paper with a bad idea on it. His hand reaches out and clasps mine in his. The warmness of his hand reassures me that I'm not the only one who is nervous. I glance up to find him staring at me, smiling so brightly that I felt my whole body sigh in relief. As the ceremony went on, all I could do was look into his eyes.
"And fights do happen. Relationships come with arguements but it's dealing with them that helps our love flourish. When an arguement does arise, which I assure you it will, place a dozen roses on a spot that you both decide on. Sometimes it's hard to find the words so this is your I'm sorry." the Priest smiled at us, probably wondering if we would take his advice. As the time comes for us to say 'I Do', I feel Chris give my hand a squeeze.
I suddenly jump as I feel hands applying pressure on my shoulders. As I attempt to turn around, I receive a kiss, so gentle as to no to hurt me, on my cheek. Spinning around he wraps his arms around me and I rest my head on his chest. Taking in his scent, I grasp the dozen of roses in one hand, his arm in the arm, and let out a sigh of relief and happiness.

sorry the word was "dozen" and the last sentence should read "Taking in his scent, I grasp the dozen of roses in one hand, his arm in the other, and let out a sigh of relief and happiness".
