It is better to use stitch witch or whatever it is called instead, and fuse the cover fabric on something durable instead. At least it is what I'm doing, that way I won't worry about interfacing and/or fashion fabric pulling apart.

i use the woven fusible kind, but it depends upon what type of outer fabric you use. natural fibers respond better to the fusing, and i use high heat/steam/press cloth.

Typically I prefer a non-woven fusible- the kind with the 'dots' seems to work better than the printed fusing however...

For regular clothing, I mostly use german weft fusible though, or fusible knit, but they are much more expensive, and for corsets, I dont see the advantage, even though they feel lovely.

I use cotton duck flatlined to the back of the fashion fabric. I don't like any interfacings for corsets but if you really want to use one, use a woven sew in type.

Flat lining is machine basting the interlining to the back of the fashion fabric. I baste it right inside the seam allowances. Then I treat it as one layer. I use duck canvas, which is a very strong, untreated plain weave fabric which does not stretch.
Thank you :)
