What was with the server last night. My team as whole got dc'd once, all at the same time, and my toon got dc'd additional 2 times. Anyone else have that problem?

damn it...I'm a moron.
So I completely geeked out and bought City of Villains 15 minutes after my store received the shipment. I knew that I wouldnt be able to play until Monday since I hadnt preordered...but I still wanted to load the game and see if i could play with the character generator.

After screwing with it for 4 hours today, trying to make sure that I had all of the right drivers, making sure all fo my programs have proper updates, blah blah blah, I start posting on forums.

Finally someone tells me that I didnt even need to buy the discs since I already own City of Heroes..I could have just downloaded a patch...

When I installed COV, the installer told me the safest option was to install it in the same folder as COH.

Installing the COV discs corrupted my COH files. I had to uninstall both programs and reinstall COH. After uninstalling, i realize the COH disc isnt next to my desk. After tearing my room apart for close to 2 hours I finally find it. Yesss.

Yay, now I get to wait for 6 hours while all of the patches and updates download. I hate being retarded.

I did all of this for a computer game.... I believe I have outgeeked myself.

I almost feel bad for thinking this since i've been with my SG for a little under a year, but... are there any good SG's on Triumph that are lookin to recruit?
I mainly play with my lvl 34 blaster... but i also have a lvl 20 emp defender and 15 scrapper i play around with too.. I'd like to add them all to a SG that actually has members that are on..
I haven't teamed with anyone from my SG for a couple months, partially because the level difference is off a bit but mainly noone seems to ever be on when I'm on.. and when I check the SG window there are only like 4 out of 26 that have been on in the last week.
I could always start my own SG with some people I play with.. I've been considering the idea of making a super group based on noob training. Ya know, show those new kids how to actually play the game instead of having to listen them them whine "PL me PLZ!!"..
but in all honesty, i'd much rather join a good SG with members who are on often and actually team with SG mates..

now, i just have to break it to the 2 people I occasionally talk to in my current group.

Hi everyone :) I'm new to the community and Champion as well.

My main server was always pinnacle, but after several friends had their work hours changed, I've lost a lot of my regular teammates. After trying out all of the servers (either creating new chars or playing older chars) I felt most "at home" on Champion. So far, it seems very friendly!

So, Aura Burns and Mr. Incredible took on Infernal last night. That's right, a SS/Inv tanker and an emp/rad defender. We managed to take out everything but Infernal, and we didn't die. I count that as a success :)

Which brings me to the point of my post. We need a couple of blasters to go in with us again, level 45 or up. Mr. I and Aura are level 46 right now, but the original mission was taken at 45. Of course, once we get it done, we have to do it all over again, since we both have it. Anybody on Champion up for taking on Infernal tonight, say around 7:00 Central? Comment here or send a tell to Mr. Incredible or Aura Burns on Champion this evening.

Hi folks! After soloing my main character, Jaguar Jade, to lvl 22, I created this new one to go back and experience the content I missed out on by not teaming. I've gone through the intro hunting missions on Hollows (solo), and am about to start the door missions.

Although I have no real experience teaming, I think I know my way around the game. I'd like to team or group with some semi-serious players. Since I need to learn teaming, I'm open to suggestions and criticism. I should be on tonight after Midnight, MST.

Thanks to the Winter Lord, I took my blaster on Champion from 7 to 25 over the weekend. I was lucky on Friday night and Saturday and got some good teams. Sunday, I was not so lucky. The first team sucked - we had two healers and neither of them knew what they were doing. My blaster went into debt for the first time ever. At that point, I started my own team, and ran it pretty much from 10:00am until 8:30pm, with a 15 minute break for lunch, and a 30 minute break when the server crashed. We ran a full team, and at three points during the afternoon and evening, we had a waiting list. Is this usual? I've never run a team before, at least not past doing a few missions and everybody going their own way, so I'm a little weirded out by this.

Last night I got on about 11:30C to get in a few hours of CoH before bed. Didn't see but one SG member on who didn't respond to an inquiry on the SG channel, so I made myself available for a team and then started hunting. Not much later I got a tell from Jeejo asking if I'd like to team for a mission, to which I accepted. My 18 Scrapper was SKd to 32 and after a KR mission we threw on our SG costumes (gotta represent!) and I got a quick tour of Talos and Founders Falls. I'm a big Super Jump fan and love the whole rooftop-to-rooftop travel as it really says "Superhero" to me, so getting to our mission was a BLAST! Did one last Devouring Earth missions (I'd only seen a couple of those guys previously... NICE!) and Jeejo bid me farewell.

I headed to Atlas to try and meet up with a non-SG friend who was telling me about a Bio Contest she was currently in. I play sporadically, so don't usually have time for much social stuff outside of teaming for missions, so I thought I'd check it out. I got there a little late so I missed the actual contest, but who did I see waiting for the results but our fearless leader, Kenobi! When they announced her as the winner, I changed back into my SG duds to applaud and cheer. We teamed and did some 30-level hunting, which gave me some GREAT xp. Finally it got late and I had to call it a night.

Just wanted to share as this was EXACTLY why I joined a SG: I wanted to be able to team up with a good group of people on a regular basis. Granted, these were only one-on-one, but the quality of the players was excellent. Thanks for letting me tag along!
