author's notes: this is my second favorite song in the film and i think queen latifah did wonderfully in this scene. i changed some of the words around for obvious reasons and some of the song is omitted to be replaced by dancing and corny's thoughts (hehe). obviously, negro day is not over. this chapter is from corny's point of view and the continuation will be in the next chapter because obviously velma is there to torture and amuse us all. thanks for the reviews! i'm having too much fun writing this fic!
