I still haven't finished building his bed, though he has a "throne" and a black and gold steamer chest, and now his mattress has a full chinese silk bedding set. Also, I tossed together my first attempt at clothing without a pattern: vinyl pants and cuffs cut from the sleeve of an old vinyl dress I don't wear anymore and a top cut from a glittery silver cloak.
...he has a cloak, but I don't like the way it lays. I'll try another, fully lined.
Anyway. Pix are under the cut.

...by the way, if anyone wants to swap patterns sometime, I'm willing.

I'm so excited to finally have him here! He's one of the original LE50 Dollzone Clockwork Extreme Xi-Aleisters, and despite them being sold out for a while now, he's brand new. <33 His name is Madiraska, but I call him Maddi for short. :3

I'm pretty ancient compaired to most of you I've seen here. Still, I try to be young at heart, and my love of BJDs is no less for the number.
I'm poor, otherwise I'd own at least 10. Still...
I got my first doll about 5 weeks ago and have repainted him, changed his eyes, and made him a lot of basic necessities (read that: a king sized canopy bed, and throne, a couch, throw pillows, a silk bedspread, and clothes). Pictures of his face before and after will be forthcoming.

My DZ fenyo came in a few days ago and I've since given her a faceup. (my first one, mind you...) I know she's not considered a desireable sculpt by most, but I think she's rather cute in her own way. Just wanted to show her off. She's looking a litte... "scene" styled right now, and that's not what I have planned for her.

Um I have a question.
I read this on VOLKS website. That some fabrics MAY "stain" the Super Dollfie's.
I'm curious, is that true? And if it is, what types of fabrics?
Last question.
I want to make dresses for the new dollfie I'm about to buy

I want to design my own doll but I dont know what I need to do for the eyes Volks USA has all the stuff put I dont know what eye size or what not I need if anyone could help with that it would be great.

x How many BJDs do you own? Um, I have a head coming over from Hong Kong... I won't be getting my first full BJD until Christmas. ToT
x What kinds are they? The head that's coming is an Obitsu 60 cm Gretel mold head.
x How long have you been into BJD? I've known they existed for a few years but I didn't want one until a few months ago, when I saw the Dollzone Hid boy.
x Do you attend conventions? (if so, specify which) The only convention I've ever been to is Tekkoshocon which I think I misspelled.
I hope I did everything right... and are Obitsu's allowed in this community? I checked the rules but didn't see anything about it. I'll be getting a Dollzone doll (most likely Hid or Felian) for Christmas, unless I decide on the Bobobie Ariel Sprite girl...
I'm also just starting out with BJDs, and the head I've ordered is so far just for me to practice face-ups with. Anyone got any tips for me? I have a basic knowledge of what tools to use and what is good/bad to use on resin dolls. Does anyone know if mineral-based make-up like blush or eyeshadow could be used in place of pastels for blushing? I have no chalk pastels, only oil.
