Hello everyone, Andsoshewrites here! And as you may or may not know, I started a Beatles slash RPG, called [info]thebeatleworld

And wow. I never realized the writers I'd get. Honestly, everyone is such an amazing writer, and I am so lucky to have the chance to write with them and to have them as a part of my RPG.

But I know there's been some complaint about everything that's been being posted lately in Beatle comms, and I just thought that I'd tell everyone about [info]thebeatleworld. So far we have a Paul (me), John, George, Ringo, Brian, Cynthia, Pattie, Bob Dylan, and even a Derek Taylor.

And I personally think the storyline is great. Everything works out quite well. Here are a list of some of the relationships that have been played in the RP:

John/Paul
John/Brian
Paul/George
Brian/George
Cynthia/Bob Dylan

And of coarse, John/Cynthia and George/Pattie.

We post quite often, and all the NC-17 threads are friends-locked, but you can join just to watch :D/

But, if you want to play, you can. We're currently looking for a Jane Asher and a Maureen Cox. But if you want to be someone else, you may. Just send me an email at andsoshewrites@yahoo.com and read the profile of [info]thebeatleworld

Now, here are the current players:

[info]nemperor as [info]mrepstein
[info]alicia_h as [info]cyn_lennon64
[info]maccas4evrlver as [info]johnwlennon
[info]blut_kruez as [info]george_harri_22 and [info]bob_dylan_1954
[info]hirelk as [info]richiestarr
[info]749_penny_lane as [info]derek_taylor
[info]warning7280 as [info]pattieboyd64
[info]andsoshewrites as [info]jamespmacca

And honestly, each and every one of them to a fantastic job! (Maybe not me, so much as them)

I'll put some snippets of the RP under a cut, so you all can see if you like it :]

Hi there, dear beatlefans!

Though I'm really big fan of Paul and John, I could never find the original soundtrack to the movie "Family Way", released in 1966. As every beatlefan knows, this soundtrack can be honestly called "McCartney's first solo project"....But I could never hear it!..(((

Could you please share it with me,if you have one?...Perhaps, upload somewhere etc...It seems to be very rare.

Title: Yer Blues
Author: Goodbye2pisces
Starring: George, John, Paul
Rating: E (for extreme silliness)
Disclaimer: Nothing is real...
Synopsis: Just the usual Hong Kong Foolery
Notes:I don't know if I've mentioned that I decided to (FINALLY) finish up my degree this year so I've been in homework hell for for what seems like forever now.
Anyway, I've had three tests one on top of the other in the last few weeks. Did really well on the first two, the third--not so much, so as I was feeling a bit of the academic failure I decided to break out Anthology to cheer myself up and this bit of silliness came tumbling out. It's just a drabble really, Completely improbable and implausible and plenty of other words that begin with imp, but hopefully good for a laugh or two anyway :)

Here it is:
Hi everybody,

Good to see some new members signing up for the boards.

I'd be happy to drop some clues on some other characters that are in the script, but I'd love to see everybody else's thoughts first.

Who would you like to see in Brian's story? Who do you think deserves to be there?

OK, so I finally got around to watching "Across the Universe" but the jury is still out for me. First I have to say the girl that played Sexy Sadie was great - kind of put me in mind of Janis Joplin (obviously that is a plus for me) of course the music was great and most of it was very well done. I'm not a purist by any stretch of the imagination - I just don't like most remakes. I thought it was worth watching and I loved that lots of it reminded me of my youth (yes, I'm that old). Some of it was just too weird, even for me but overall I have to say I thought it was well worth the time.

Hi everyone!

Did anyone get Paul's newly-released dvd "Ecce Cor Meum"?. The dvd shows his classical piece ECM on the premiere in London at the Royal Albert Hall on November 3rd, 2006. Was anyone there that night? I was! It was just great, and an awesome place to see a classical piece by Paul.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE?

I have a This Day in Beatle History on my igoogle, and read this.

1943 - This day was commonly thought to be George Harrison's birthday. In 1992, Harrison was reported to have said, "I only learned recently after all these years that the date and time of my own birth have always been off by one calendar day and about a half hour on the clock."

Someone please elabrorate. So? Is it the 26th? or 24?

Thought everyone would like to see this, it's a busy day in Beatle's History....

1963 - The Beatles recorded their first album "Please Please Please Me," including "Twist & Shout" and "I Saw Her Standing There."

1964 - The Beatles played their first U.S. concert at the Collisseum in Washington, DC.

1965 - Ringo Starr and Maureen Cox were married. They divorced in 1975.

1970 - The film "The Magic Christian," featuring Ringo Starr debuted in New York City.

1970 - John Lennon paid 1,344 pounds in fines for protesting the South African rugby team playing in Scotland.

1970 - John Lennon and Yoko Ono played "Instant Karma" on the BBC TV show "Top of the Pops."

2002 - Friends of former Beatle George Harrison filed an amendment death certificate. The original death certificate listed a fake address in Beverly Hills. Harrison had actually died several miles away in Hollywood Hills.

Hello all
I was wondering if anyone might know of the picture I am talking about and may possibly be able to link me to it
They used it in the John Lennon E! Documentary and I remember it was when May Pan was talking to Yoko and saying "Congratulations you got your man back"
It is of John and Yoko like sort of intertwined on a white couch and I believe Yoko is wearing jeans and a black sweater
Does anyone possibly have this picture?

Amazing Beatles Covers... [12 Jan 2008|05:10am]

I discovered this guy on YouTube. And my god, can he play guitar beautifully? He does a lot of Beatles songs (no singing, just fingerpicking) and his renditions are absolutely amazing.

Check him out if you have the chance! He has a Beatles Playlist of 16 songs so far.

So far, he's covered:

  1. And I Love Her
  2. For No One
  3. Got To Get You Into My Life
  4. I Dig A Pony
  5. I Want To Tell You
  6. If I Fell
  7. I'm Only Sleeping
  8. Junk
  9. Martha My Dear
  10. Penny Lane
  11. There's A Place
  12. Yes It Is
  13. You Like Me Too Much
  14. You Never Give Me Your Money
  15. Your Mother Should Know
  16. You're Gonna Lose That Girl

And of course, subscribe to his videos if you love him like I do and want updates on future Beatles covers. :D

Hope the new year is treating all well!

Since before Thanksgiving, I have had to listen to many Christmas songs over the intercom at work. They are all the same ones by different artists, and it gets on my nerves.

I don't celebrate Christmas, but love seeing the decorations. It looks like a beautiful holiday, but everyone gets caught up in the commercialism, which I can't stand.

One particular song I always want to hear. I don't know how to add a video or song, so I think I will just include the lyrics.

P.S- You smash it- I'll build around it.

From a letter John wrote in reply to a savage, patronizing review of
Revolution in the Black Dwarf magazine.

I just love that quote. It seems to say so much more than first meets the eye. That's who John was, that was his response to society. While others tore down, he would build up.

In honor of Christmas, I am going to share a very silly (by which I mean embarassing) picture of myself. I love this picture, though, because it's very meaningful. This was taken 5 years ago on Christmas. (Yes, just ignore the fact that I look like I just rolled out of bed- I had- and am wearing the World's Ugliest Bathrobe. I am much more stylish now, lol.)

My parents gave me the Beatles Anthology, which was the first Beatles book I ever owned. If you can't see the look on my face, my mouth was open and I was totally in awe. This picture kind of represents what the Beatles mean to me.
