Free Gig - March 5th! Due to Batfink's continuing hiatus, we've decided to stage another Goth gig at our weekly Dead Nightclub Night event at The Dove & Rainbow, Hartshead Square on March 5th, 8pm onwards. Free entry! Tradtastic locals Dyonisis will be first on stage to make a pre-WGW appearance followed by the Gothic Rock sound of Cobwebs (I do hope they do their fab cover of Prime Mover again!) with our usual DJ mix of goth, rock, punk and alternative hits of yesteryear scattered throughout the evening. Free Gig - Dead Nightclub Night 30/01/08 Dead Nightclub Night at The Dove & Rainbow, Hartshead Square brings you another in its infrequent series of free gigs tommorrow, Wednesday January 30th from 8pm onwards. Hailing from Manchester, Coporial rock in a definitely METAL way, blending influences such as Machinehead, SOAD, Tool, Velvet Revolver, Rob Zombie and Megadeth. I think this may be the loudest gig the Dove has hosted so far and the only one that comes with the safety warning of 'Beware Flailing Dreadlocks'! ---------------------------------------- ------------------------------ We're also booking more bands over the coming months - Goth, Glam, Metal or Rock - contact us through DNN MySpace if you're interested. |

New Years Eve Afternoon drinks
Looks like there will be a few of us out on New Years Eve for a bit of pubage at the Dove and rainbow to get the New Years Eve started ....
Looks like we'll aim to hit the pub around about 3 so a few hours before buses and trams go off and the house parties start up ...

Not Long Now!  Not long now till Selene Rising! Saturday the 8th of December at The Moon The venue has confirmed that it will be open till 1am, so loads of time for tunes after the bands have finished. We've got The Way Of All Flesh and Dyonisis playing as well as the Batfink crew helping out with choons. Nightingale Audio Systems are providing a 2k rig for the event and lights as well. We are hoping to shoot some video as well, so you could end up starring in a video release by one of the bands at some point. Remember, this is the last official Batfink event for 2007, so please come down and see it off in style! |

Halloween Now With Added Rum Bums! As Team Batfink continue to try and make up for depriving you of Batfink fun for huge bits of 2007, we bring you something marvellous and free (well you will need beer tokens) to do on Wednesday 31st October. Our weekly Dead Nightclub Night where we wallow in the playlists of long-deceased goth, rock and alternative clubs of Sheffield's past will don the fangs and whiteface for one night only and become... Night Of The Living Dead Nightclub NightWe'll be doing the Monster Mash from 8pm at the Dove & Rainbow, Hartshead Square with prizes for best horror-themed outfit, spooky cocktails, a picture quiz and a free gig from top UK goth band Rome Burns! If music be the food... If like me you get to a point on a Wednesday where you have to look up whether or not it is a Dead Nightclub Night tonight, well your worries are over. From tonight it goes weekly (except next week, the 29th due to a pre-existing band booking) so you can get your rock trousers on every week and hark back to Roxy's rock night, The Limit and so on... I know you were looking forward to the return of little ole Fink on July 13th but I'm afraid it's not to be.

A gathering storm I know there have been rumours about the return of Batfink. I am still waiting for final confirmation of the details from ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) jozafeen and the team on what exactly the skinny is, but I can say this: Clear your diaries for the first and third Friday of the month from July.Batfink on the first Friday of every month and Notorious on the third. As soon as I have definitive answers from team 'fink I'll let you guys know. |
