where in the metro area can I go to sell books/CDs/DVDs for cash and not store credit?

I lost my job suddenly and I need money for bills like yesterday.

CDs and DVDs you can get cash for at the Moive Trading Company [a subsidiary of Blockbuster]. They also take video games. But you get practically nothing for them.

The bookstore issue I'd like an answer on myself.

It won't be "yesterday", but considered ebay?

You might even be able to get some extra money on "shipping and handling" (as long as you research what an appropriate unreasonable amount would be).

yeah, I'm using ebay on some other stuff at the moment. I haven't had much luck with books or CDs, because either a million of the same thing are already listed or I can't make any money off them (I can't bring myself to list things for like ninety-nine cents).

the problem is that I'm paranoid that the stuff won't sell and I'll still owe ebay the listing fees, and then they'll take it from my account, and it...won't be good. (I have about $35 in fees right now that will be auto-debited the middle of next month. I keep wanting to pay the fees out of the payments I get from the sales, but I always need the money for other things instead).

either way though, I'll consider that again. that may be what I need to do: list 'em low (or maybe at a fixed price), and see what happens.

CD Warehouse will give cash back on cds/dvds.

As far as the books, you can try book nook, but unless they're really hot, unlikely.

email me off of here (missakins at gmail) for one other possible idea.

Sam Goody in any mall will take the cd's, dvd's and games.. So will any Media Play. As far as books, I am a true collector- drop me a list anytime, I'm definately interested.
