The Basics
Plot
The game will begin with the events leading up to the creation of the last horcrux. The Marauders are out of Hogwarts while Regulus and peers are entering their seventh year. There is trepidation in the air but there are also marriages {Lily and James, Narcissa and Lucius} that people are looking forward to. This shall be the jumping-off point.
Playing
This game will run on the basis of "enchanted journals." First-person posts will be posted to character journals. They can appear to be public, filtered, or private and should be labeled as such. Logs will be in third-person narrative and posted to the main community. Owls will be sent through the main community as well and should state who it is coming from and going to.
All character journals must be updated at least once a week. Of course, the more you play, the happier we'll all be. If this is not possible due to temporary time constraints or real life commitments, just let me know to avoid any misunderstandings. I'm pretty easy-going. :)
Also, this rpg keeps "real time" in the sense that if it is September 9th (2005) for you, it is September 9th (1979) for your character.
Rules
1. Proper English spelling and grammar for first person posts, if it applies to your character. Americanisms will be roasted with marshmallows to make smores. They can write how they wish to in their journals, I only ask that they are portrayed convincingly.
2. Show respect for other players. Basic courtesy is expected at all times. Any player found guilty of insulting, flaming, or harassing other players will be asked to leave the game.
3. If you would like to involve other characters in a plot involving yours, you must let the other players know. Casual mention of other characters in your character's journal is fine, but the use of other characters in such a way that it affects them significantly in any aspect (physically, emotionally, etc.) is not allowed if done without permission.
4. All character journals and the communities must be added to your character's friends list.
5. All OOC comments or discussions must take place in the OOC community,
arcanum_ooc.
6. Due to the mature themes of this game, players must at least be 18 years of age. {Pornage, ahoy!}
