(or at least mine since I got the crappiest internet connection in the world) After about a year break from drawing, I'm back. I've been doing tons of fanarts, way more than I should be doing. Here are some choice pieces. These have been posted on my LJ and various comm already. To see all the gross details, check out my site or DA.  Wow, what a shocker, Catherine is drawing?! Has the world ended? Has hell frozen over? Funny how it takes a game to get me to draw again, and to think I was looking for inspirations by reading comics. XD Anyway, totally loving the Wind Waker style, and since it's way different from my own style (duh), I decided to take a wack at it. I can't draw three head proportion and so Link and Tetra ended up being taller than they should be. Here is another picture that I drew earlier in the week. It's not linked on my site yet. I drew this dress once before back when I started my doodles folder, and someone liked it enough, that she wants it as her wedding dress.

 Tsk tsk, it's been too long since I posted in da pot. Sorry, but this cover is the newest thing that I've drawn that's NOT you know what. You can see the whole cover for my ashcan in DA (I forgot to upload a copy to my server...). Dammit! Why am I still tempted to draw SD fanarts?! By the way, check out an old entry. I want to hear your opinions about possible project ideas.

note: please pardon me while I indulge myself in geekiness. The movements of the Enemy must not be left unchecked. The Elves of the great kingdom, ruled by King Gil-galad, sent a small patrol of 251 men to the slopes of Mount Doom. There they waited for any signs of the enemy. Suddenly, the captain noticed something stirring, rumbling over the hill. Within moments, a horde of Orcs appeared, ready to destroy anything they could find. The Elven assumed battle positions and let out deadly volleys of arrows . Undeterred, and confident by their superior numbers, 640 strong Orcs descended upon the Elves at the foothill. The Elves are prepared and prepare their blades to be bathed in orc blood, and the inevitable battle ensued!!The battle was short yet hard fought, as the carnage littered the landscape.  this is the main character for this other comic that i am like developing and stuff. his name is fearless griggs. it is this stupid little silly adventure comic thing with scientists and a robot powered by a ghost and moon-men and various retardedness set in like, conneticut in the 1800's. it is a mashing together of like 50 other comics that i had ideas for and then they all came togerhter in one ultra-megazord-comic that is obviously too stupid not to do.

So in Drawing class we had to fill a sketchbook up with junk and the night before it was due I sat and doodled a bunch of crap into it. Most of it is uninteresting hahaha. Towards about 3:00 or 4:00 AM when I was finally dwindling, I drew a comic to take up more space. Took about an hour, in blue marker and then traced over with a brushpen. It is kind of bratty and ridiculous, but I am proud of it because it saved my sketchbook mark - I throw my arms up in triumph over my ultimate badassedness at conning my class. A post/notecard design I was going to have printed for Comicon here in Vancouver. I did the math and it wasn't going to end up bringing in a lot of money so it'll have to wait to see production for the next big con.  My friends and I ( galsan, yfrontninja and Kailey) put out a copybook though (my friend Heather did the cover). I put in a 4-page comic, and here's the first page:  Let me know if you want to buy a copy :D Pass along your email and I will figure out. $5 CAN or $5 US (shipping incl). Some of you inkpotters can probably easily convince me to give it to you for free though?? The version in the book is not as nice as this one (O_O; We had technical problems so I ended up lettering my comic by hand with my pukerful writing and had no tones, and one of the pages was misaligned... but I will email the webversion to anyone who buys from me? Also, the other stories in the ashcan are awesome. And some half-done giftart for Andy. Though..... I'll do one that's better.  |
