hear ye hear ye
Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and Bro-ulder delicious people with bicycles : Two events coming up sooner than later. Mark your calendars. No shying away. If you have a bicycle, I want you there.

CRIT MASS :: Tomorrow [Friday April 28th], don't forget about Crit Mass. 5:30'ish at the fountain in Civic Center Park, Denver. Bring 5-10 bucks if you can to get a nifty shirt to help support those that were arrested and/or ticketed last ride. Ride for about an hour, if all goes smoothly. For those of you that haven't ever been, the pace is really leisurely, the people are grand, and it's nice to get some 'fresh' air. Bring whatever kind of bicycle/mode of transportation you have [huffy sweetstyle, bmx, fixie, big wheels, your grandmother's old single speed, skateboard, rollerskates, little red wagons...]. Really and truly doesn't matter.

[[afterward we [myself and a small crew] will probably head over to Andenken Gallery for the opening and some free bourgie beer. Maybe out to dinner before that?]]

BIKE PROM :: The date for the Bike Prom has been set for the 20th of May at 3pm. Meeting location TBA. Your bicycle is your date. Wear appropriate attire [tacky, suave, demure, outlandish... you know. think prom]. As I never went to my high school prom, you better come and dance/ride with me.

CRIT MASS!!! Um. Let's all actually show up this time? Bring your bicycles, your subset crews, your bright and shining sardonic smiles. Pony up on dem horseless two-wheeled carriages and giddyup!!!

Somewhere around 5:30pm'ish, the 31st [NOT TOMORROW][last friday of March] at Civic Center Park. We'll probably have a small group departing from my house or M's new home [Andenken].

Call me if you need more info. Aw hell, call me anyway.

end of February
Hello fellow sporkers/sporkees/sporkettes/sporkos ::

Here are events. Tell me if there are more. Tell me if you are coming? I miss most of you - and by that I mean those of you that I haven't seen for a few moons. Aw hell, I also miss the ones I saw a day ago, etc.

Tonight, Friday the 17th: Fellow spork members bethany and chris are going to be having an art opening and dj'ing for said opening respectively. That's at Michelangelos! I'll probably be heading down there 'round 9'ish?

Tomorrow, Saturday the 18th : Cremaster 3 is playing at Midnight @ the Esquire!!! I know, I know... I've seen 1 and 2 of the "crapmaster cycle" but I've been meaning to see part 3 and it's time... I think. We'll be doing our usual "sneaking in wine and bourgie treats. It'll be grand.

Also tomorrow : Rockstars are Dead at the hi-dive... this falls into my "maybe attending category if i'm spunky and want to do something before the film"

Sigur Ros is on Thursday, the 23rd. I've been so disappointed by shows lately I don't know if I'll be going or if there are even tickets left.

Friday the 24th, CRIT MASS!!!! bicycles are mandatory... DINNER AT WATERCOURSE afterward... and an opening at the ANDENKEN GALLERY after that for digestive and booze-intake purposes!

national anthem
the Denver Sporks need a theme song. an anthem for a new generation of black garbed cyclenauts. something like a drinking song or old time ivy-league club song we can sing while we bike down speer pissing off drivers. something with lyrics about wearing black, riding bicycles, rock and roll, drinking and the like
"we will rock you" is not a valid selection.
