The Why of __unaffiliated.
I created this __unaffiliated after browsing through page after page of communities catering to specific demographics of the human population. I began to wonder why there shouldn't be a community for people who haven't found a category they quite fit perfectly into, or don't want to categorize themselves at all.

Personally, I'm offended when someone tries to sort me into a neat little group so that they can say "Oh, Andy? She's a {insert label here}." But I'm not a label. I'm Andy Longwood, an odd little lady who moonlights in a little bit of everything. And I'd like to see if there are other people who've ever felt this way too. Tell me about your interests. Tell me what makes you tick. Let me know who you are.

So, __unaffiliated is, essentially, a clique for people who don't like cliques - but let's prevent it from becoming that. Everyone is different, and let's be the group that celebrates it. Let's be the group that comes to know each other as people, instead of nameless members of an autonomous collective.
