Hey all! I took the liberty of making some business cards for our booth this year. I remembered that a few tables had them last year and i thought it was a cool idea. Also, if I can remember to bring them, I thought I'd bring a few paper lunch bags to put the purchased comics in. Time permitting, I may even make labels to seal the bags with.

Hey guys, I need your pages scanned in at 300dpi (higher dpi is okay too) by Sunday morning. Nur, Nat, and I will be attempting to put books together Sunday. If we use files lower than the pages don't look good, and we want our awesome doujin to look good. =D
Amanda-Can you resend your art for the cover? I didn't get it in time and the link ran out. Sorry. :(

Hey guys, since it's been sort of decided that our title will be Gao Gao or at least something containing Gao, I've been using my "precious time" to look at fonts we could use for our title... aka trying to keep myself awake during crits in art lab. Anyway, tell me what you think:
Nur, Nat, and I will be working on the front cover. Our current plan is to have everyone is dinosaur/prehistoric animal outfits. Amanda and Alex are in charge of the back cover.
Now, will our cover be in black and white or color?
We should probably try to get together online again and try to figure the last bit of things out. How does Sunday afternoon/evening sound for people?

I'm making 5pkbc labels in my Flexo class. I'll probably use the logo, but I thought it'd be cool to put doodles of ourselves on it. Sooo, if you could, would you draw me a SUPER SIMPLE doodle of yourself? I mean SUPER SIMPLE. LINE ART.

Hey all, we'll need to have one of our "usual" chats on Wednesday, so try to be online. I'll be by my computer pretty much from 3pm-10pm, so I'm good anytime between. We'll discuss comic order, file preparation, and file sending.
I'm probably the only one so excited by this, but... WE CAN SEND INDESIGN FILES! WOOOOO! Although I'll probably just output a PDF. =P

Wow...It's been a while since my lasp update. That's because of finals and studying. Well, thats over now and spring break's here. Happy fun time but I'll have no car (going into the shop to be fixed). Maybe I can talk my mom into borrowing her car. So yeah anywho, most the pictures are of Koyuki, my comic character. I tried to draw her in normal clothes and am not very satisfied. Oh well, I'll keep practicing.

Not too much going on here. Going up to Davis for the weekend to go to a dance (although I don't dance...well) with Heavenly_Spin, Hip_Cyclobutane and The_Disco_Kid so that should prove fun. Semi-formal and of course what color am I wearing? Black (technically, it's a shade)! I can't seem to ever find any outfit that I like that is not black. *sigh* That's the way I am. Hopefully, I can get my hair to cooperate Saturday.
Registering for Spring classes tomorrow. I hope things go according to plan. I can only register for up to 14 units during this period but will be able to register for more in about 2 weeks (College policy).

I bet everyone has heard of BAAU (Bay Area Artists United), right? Well, they always print their annual compilation, BAAU Down. We should do that.
I have found a printer that can print a 200 page trade paperback with a color cover/back cover for about $4.20 per book with a $20 set up cost. Now, i don't know the quality of the paper or the quality of the printing, but this is something we can afford. We can print anything from 24 pages to 800 pages, and the size of the book can vary.
Check it out.
I think we could totally do something like this... Fanime maaay be too soon, but there are many other cons. tell me what you think!
