Waiting List
Let's face it, some pairings are just more popular than others. And if you're one of those people who's a die-hard devotee of such a pairing, and you want it and nothing else, but someone else has snagged it, you can post your request to get it next here.

If said person doesn't update within the required time (either one month of being awarded the pairing or one month of their last post), then you can post to the Dropped/Finished Claims page, and we'll free up the couple. Whoever's next on this waiting list will get the reservation for the next 30 themes.

In order to request an already-reserved couple, follow the same format as the Request a Couple page:

Subject Line: WAITING LIST
Comment Body: Name of the Fandom - Full names (if possible) of the two people involved

Also make a note if you plan on collaborating with another user. Tell us their username!

From now on, we will make a note of who is waiting on the waiting list, just to make sure waiting list claims don't go unnoticed. If you were waiting for a pairing to be freed up/dropped and you ARE on the waiting list but your name/claim does NOT go on the Claims List, reply to this entry and say that your requested pairing has been freed up, and you'd like to make it official! We'll gladly edit both this page and the Claims List to reflect the new status. If there has been ANY confusion in regards to this, PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

I've also added your name in a note beside the current claim, so that if/when the claim is finished and/or dropped, the next mod to update the list will know that you're waiting. Nonetheless, if you see the claim get finished/dropped and the current claim holder DOES NOT make a note of it on the I Give Up!/I'm Finished page, then feel free to come here and remind us of your waiting list claim so we can add you to the official Claims List. I received your email and I apologize for how long you've been waiting for notification that this has been added to the Waiting List. Since the claim has recently been finished, I won't bother adding it here; I'll just add it straight to the Claims List. Okay, you've been added to the waiting list here and your waiting list claim has also been indicated on the main claims list. If the person who currently holds the claim neglects to update it within one month, it is YOUR responsibility as the next claimant to inform us (unless the current person who has claimed it DROPS the claim on the I Give Up!/I'm Finished page) on the I Give Up!/I'm Finished page. Then I'll delete the old claim holder from the list and put you on there.

Thanks! I'm really glad. But I know this probably isn't the right place to post this, but the person who currently has it claimed hasn't posted in a few months, I think. I'm not really sure...but I tried to find a post, and I didn't hit one until about July. I know I'm supposed to put this in the I Give Up!/I'm Finished page, and I did...but there was no reply there.

No, it's fine- it's been finals week for a lot of us mods, and we just didn't get the chance to respond over there (yet). We're going to be conducting a Purge cycle and finding out just who hasn't updated since when, and if we find that the claim you want hasn't been updated in the proper amount of time, you'll be the first to get it.

Are you still interested in this pairing (Uchiha Sasuke x Haruno Sakura from "Naruto")? The person who had it claimed had dropped it, but because they were working on it post-purge, your name wasn't added on the Claims List as someone waiting. If you're still interested, please let me know by responding to this comment so I can add you to the Claims List right away.
