"Robert Plant Denies Led Zeppelin Reunion"
He strongly denies stories saying he’s reuniting the band…
Robert Plant has categorically ruled out reports that he will complete the Led Zeppelin reunion next year.
The singer released a statement saying: “Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin.”
Last week The Sun claimed Plant had finally decided to join the other members- Jason Bonham, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page- with a comeback.
Plant also suggested he had been angered by the claims. The statement continued: “It's both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward.”
The singer has enjoyed recent success with his two albums made with Alison Krauss- including a Mercury nomination.
The other three Led Zep’ stars however have reportedly already been rehearsing for a 2009 tour and working on new material
Another rumour suggests an already established US rock singer will fill Plant’s place in the classic group.

Last week (September 26) it was claimed that Plant had agreed to a Led Zeppelin tour.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are currently touring the USA on the last leg of their 'Raising Sand' tour. They played a benefit concert in Oklahoma City for victims of Hurricane Ike last Friday; Austin,Texas last Saturday and tomorrow they play Portland, Oregon before finishing the tour in Saratoga, California on October 5th.
After those dates, Robert has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years. Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets.
“It‘s both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to

“I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects,” he added.

Robert Plant Agrees To Led Zeppelin Reunion

Robert PlantReports out of Great Britain are now saying that a full-fledged Led Zeppelin reunion is moving forward; and lead singer Robert Plant, who originally held out from any involvement with his former bandmates, has had a change of heart.
British newspaper The Sun reports that guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham (son of Zep's late great skinsman John) have been rehearsing with singers to fill the void left by Plant, who would not commit to the trio's reunion plans.
News that an as yet unnamed famous American singer had been standing in for Plant and was the front-runner to sing with the band on tour reached Plant, who then had a change of heart.
A source told The Sun, "He realized the band were serious about doing it without him, it made him think long and hard," and that, "he couldn't face the thought of not being involved."
The band is currently finalizing plans for a summer 2009 tour and the band is "over the moon" with excitement and "can't wait to get on the road."

The singer had been resisting calls from the other three members- John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham- for a comeback of the classic rock band.
Reports say the other three have already been rehearsing and writing new songs while Plant has been touring his album with Allison Kraus.
It was even claimed that if Robert Plant turned the tour down the members were ready to draught in a famous American rocker to fill the gap.
Now though a source told The Sun: “They were all over the moon when he them the news. They are now forging ahead with tour plans and can’t wait to get on the road.”
Led Zeppelin reunited last December for a one-off charity gig at the O2 Arena which was widely praised by critics.

Led Zeppelin To Play Coachella And/Or Bonnaroo*
How do you get Robert Plant to agree to a full-scale Led Zeppelin reunion when he's reluctant to leave his project with Alison Krauss behind just so he can play decades-old music every night and rake in a lot of cash? Apparently, you tell him the band's moving on without him.
According to England's Sun newspaper, the band was auditioning singers (hopefully none named David Coverdale) to hit the road without Plant. Perhaps chilled by the thought of being the new Steve Perry (or Jon Anderson), Plant has allegedly reconsidered his previous stance against an extensive reunion tour.

Then again, is an unnamed source in a British newspaper enough verification to really get excited for? Haven't we been burned by this sort of thing before? We're leaving it in your hands... how excited should we be for the prospect of rocking out to "Black Dog" live, instead of in the comforts of your own home?

Led Zeppelin have been awarded an outstanding achievement prize at the GQ Men of the Year awards.
The legendary rockers reformed for a one-off concert at London's O2 Arena last December, with more than one million people applying for tickets to the charity gig.
Producer Mark Ronson was named the maverick of the year while Primal Scream and the Killers' frontman Brandon Flowers took the best band and most stylish man awards, respectively.
Other winners at the ceremony, hosted by Sir Elton John and Lily Allen, included actor Josh Brolin - soon to be seen as president George Bush in W - Gavin and Stacey star James Corden and London mayor Boris Johnson, who was named politician of the year.
Sir Elton and Allen drank wine throughout the ceremony, with the former joking: "What, are you going to have another drink?" after his presenting partner had announced that a "very special point in the evening" had been reached.
TV chef Gordon Ramsay was named entrepreneur of the year while Manchester United and England footballer Rio Ferdinand won the magazine's editor's special award.

Whatever else you want to add about yourself, this community, anything, just Ramble On: i just feel like i literally love led zeppelin's music. just everything about it rubs me the right way. i love how they encorporated so many different sounds and made it their own. i deteste when people clump zeppelin in with "hair bands", yes those lads had gorgeous (still do...eeer, kinda) maines of hair, but that doesn't mean their beautiful music is anything like those "hair bands"... i also think the category of 'hard rock' is an interesting one to stick them in....i suppose at the time (mainly the 70s) it might have been appropriate. when i got caught listening to LEZ ZEPPELIN my girlfriend was like, "so, looks like they combine two of your favourite things...led zeppelin and lesbians!" and its true... i just want to talk about led zeppelin all the live long day. and i'd really love to meet people that feel as passionalty for them as i do. gosh, i need to get back to work!
