Also on last.fm under a more familiar alias you will find RPM 2008 which is freely downloadable. | comments: Leave a comment |

| | I've finished the ambient album and i have two experimental albums on the boil for Uncomfortable Records and i'm making headway with the structure of Furry Song III. That is all aside from this link to some experimental music i've been writing. | comments: Leave a comment |

| Dailies 0x0A.10: And now sleep.. (4:17) (blog entry) A nice calm song somewhat taking after Eno/Budd's The Pearl, except they never had Stephen Fry narration. (Mr Fry's monologue courtesy of voco.uk.com.)
Dailies 0x0A.11: Out of shape (2:58) (blog entry) After the excitement of yesterday's star-studded daily, my favoured approach tonight is something boppy and light.
Dailies 0x0A.12: Copy and paste (3:18) (blog entry) This is a song about program features. It is somewhat wistful. It's also more than a bit repetetive; i'm too tired to track any good ideas today. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| Dailies 0x0A.07: Ploop! (1:46) (blog link) The night-time sounds of my TV room: a fish filter motor, bubbles and a clock, kwooked about with. Short and sweet.
Dailies 0x0A.08: Lullaby (2:15) (blog link) I'd like to get to bed before 4am so this is just a very slow and fairly simple tune. I hope it inspires nice dreams for all.
Dailies 0x0A.09: Thirty-two rhymes in triplet time (2:08) (blog link including lyrics) Triplet time. Some people call it Marilyn Manson time. Some call it the glam beat. Me, i've just rapped in it. | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |

| Another minipack of Dailies for your delectation.
Dailies 0x0A.04: Three by three (3:00): (blog link) Lots of threes in this one - it's in triplet time, there's three different chords played in it, it has three different sections (build, break and full steam ahead), it's exactly three minutes long, i started writing it around 3:00am after i got back from my friend's place...
Dailies 0x0A.05: Coffee biscuit acid (3:56): (blog link) I didn't get much sleep last night, so this acid-infused meeting of Cyberpsychose and Polygon Window is liable to a bit of rambling. It was inspired by two things: wanting to run some drums through the MS20's virtual filter to see how Aphex it sounded, and wanting to use the sample of a 2-year old screaming YOU PAY NOW, BITCH!
Dailies 0x0A.06: Caffeine (2:22): (blog link) After a wee gap (during which i've still been writing music, just not Dailies) here is some vocoder-related silliness. Text from Wikipedia.
Comments as always are welcome. :) | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| I know some of you like following the Dailies here so i'll post cryptic updates with links semi-irregularly.
Dailies 0x0A.01: The vocoder song (2:23) - fun with a vocoder Dailies 0x0A.02: Braindumbs (1:30) - plodsy synth, i had the braindumbs today Dailies 0x0A.03: Starglider (3:29) - euro spacesynthy retroness ahoy! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| As well as having a myspace site, i'm also on last.fm. I even upload stuff there; right now i'm upping the stuff from Dailies 8 that people are actually scrobbling onto last.fm. Number one is of course The Song That Shall Be Redone and Rereleased Before This December If Inspiration Behaves Accordingly, but i'm really stoked to see Blissblaster making an appearance in the played charts too.
(Someone's rather strangely tagged me furry on the last.fm tagwords. Have i really written that many songs about taurs yiffing macro hermaphrobananas? I don't remember.) | comments: 9 comments or Leave a comment |

| For those who know their sprites from their bobs, music of the demo scene. Much to my understandable shock, i'm standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the kings of the demo scene on the C page under Cyanide. I'll let you all snigger at my blatantly furry musical handle for a bit, then i shall reveal that both of these tunes were written on an Amiga 500 by me twelve years ago when i was in high school and well into barmy rave music.
This song reminds me that even twelve years ago i was writing shitty hard-to-understand raps—hard to comprehend the words as well as hard to understand what point i was trying to make by rapping, i mean. Fortunately, the drum programming in Cyanide still kicks a fair bit of arse considering it's twelve years old (and it even features the Amen break); the accompanying track we used for the outro, Hypnogogia, has a melody line which still gives me chills and has fared remarkably well. Just you try to figure out how i got a swing groove out of a tracker.. oh alright, i alternated the tempo back and forth between two values every tick.. it was a really big eye-opener for a kid from Oz when u4ia did it in his mod 1993! Then there were other trackers who managed to get the pattern running backwards up the screen instead of the normal way when you played the tune back in Screamtracker, but that was just showing off and i never used ST3 myself.
Have i lost you all yet? Well good. I'm glad. | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |

Head explode! Head explode!
There's another song from today called Putting the c in rap but it's horrid and full of awful so won't be uploaded. It's got no redeeming features except that i sneakily pilfer a couple of lines from a Pink Floyd song. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
