Como estes vatos!?!?!
I got an e-mail today for a latino dating site. Just going with the flow. However I have no idea how to do the upside down exclamation point. So you are just going to have to suffer.
Everyone else has seemed to update their blogs as of late so I thought why the hell not. Except I don't know that I have much to say.
Store audits in Tucson at work. The past week has been such a great time. I have more papercuts than I ever thought humanly possible but I am a fuckin' ninja when it comes to paperwork. Bring it, Ludwig.(<-auditor) I often wonder what it takes to decide to become an auditor as the few I have met during my tenure at the big pink vagina have been the dullest people I have ever met. Case in point: holding a thirty minute phone conversation about how some JACKASS misplaced a semi colon in an e-mail. (True story.) Just sayin', I wonder sometimes. And just an FYI the day we get audited and get the high score I will be going home and proceeding to get completely smashed all by myself. I. need. a. drink. I have a nice shiny new bottle of Patron with my name all over it and I don't care if it is just me and my cats. I don't care how crazy cat lady that is because I am going mad. Apologies in advance for any drunk dialing that may or may not occur.
Friends of Jefe are coming this weekend and we are to take in a Tech N9ne concert and a Phoenix Suns game. I am just glad for the long weekend that affords me. Hopefully I will be able to score some Brozzo time while in good old Phoenix.
And.......I'm out. Hope you enjoyed.

9:55 am - Happy 231st Birthday
|
Hola. This weekend is Tucson's birthday weekend. Everyone should come as there will be several parties in the downtown area as well as a massive (or so I hear) cake at Hotel Congress. Should be interesting...or not.
So life has been alright here. I am interviewing next week for my promotion so I am preparing for that. I hope it all goes well and that they don't decide just to fire me... ;0) In reality I am confident that everything will be just fine and I am more interested to know where exactly they will be placing me. I can't stand the waiting. It is going to be a massive move within the whole market so I am really interested to see where everyone lands when it is all over with. *crosses fingers* Hopefully they don't send me to Nogi. I can't hablo the espanol.
On the wedding front I checked my timeline and although my wedding is some time off I realized just how quickly I need to start planning. It makes me nervous. For starters I am extremely indecisive. I did decide on having it in Las Vegas but for the past six months I have secretly been weighing the pros and cons of Tucson vs. Vegas. I am going to be sticking with Vegas as the pros really outweigh having it here, especially since the majority of guests are out of towners. While Tucson does have fun and entertaining things to do I think that Vegas will be more fun and more entertaining for those coming from lands far away. Not only that, but flights are way cheaper to Vegas than to Tucson. And I also think that the bachelor/bachelorette parties will be more fun while in the City of Sin than in good old 231 year old Tucson. Yep. Case closed, Vegas it is. That was hard. I have done well with other things though. I already know my colors (Red and White) as well as my flowers (Roses). I know what colors I want my bridesmaids to be in (red) as well as which dress (halter, tea length). I also know what type of dress I want. (Strapless, A-line, corset back preferred, not super pouffy). I also have plans for my Save-the-Dates (vegas magnets would be fabulous) as well as my invitations (white w/ red trim), cake (white 3-tiered with red trim around bottom of each tier and little dots and I am not sure what those are called). I do already have my shoes picked out. They are absolutely fabulous and I love them. I should order them now for when I go to try on dresses. I know what photographer I want (Bentley and Wilson). I also have an idea of the place. When I write it down it seems that I am somewhat prepared, especially in relation to how much time I have to plan. However the things that I don't know are the things that are making me stressed. I am not sure what time I should have the wedding. Should I have a rehearsal dinner? I really don't think that it is necessary but still, should I? Just the timeline of all the planning is what is getting to me. When should what happen? Argh...it is stressful. As well as trying to keep my guest list down. I don't want a hundred people there but it is so hard! I know that absolute musts are friends that I grew up with as well as family, but what about people that I am meeting now? I really have a great group of friends in Tucson, some I am closer with than others, but how do I whittle down that list? And for heavens sake I do not know what to do with the people that I work with. Do I invite my boss(es)??? I like them and we have fun but are they quite necessary?
Phew. I needed to get that out. Luckily Heather and I are going to sit down and do some serious plotting and planning tomorrow and create a timeline for everything. I hope that it can give me some direction because right now I really really need it.
And I am off to enjoy the weekend.

Helloooo....
We are going on a trip to the Black River next weekend which shall be quite fun. Going with Heather and Scott. Maybe a couple of other people. Who really knows? But last night Jeff and I went shopping for new camping stuff and it was fun!!! Got a new tent that I am really excited about because it is quite large. *yay* We also got a tent light/fan combo that is pretty sweet. We also picked up a nice little camping stove so we will be set!!! It will be nice to get away from the desert for awhile and get into the green part of Arizona. I am just hoping that my allergies won't kill me. I am stocking up on Claritin for sure.
In other news....well....there isn't really a lot of other news. Life is good. Job is good. Jeff is good. Doesn't make for an interesting blog now does it? Have been on a diet/exercise kick for about two months that is working really well. Have lost almost twenty pounds so far which I am pretty happy about! I am finally starting to pay attention to what I eat instead of just eating what is there. Makes a huge difference apparently. Heather and I also got the bright idea to go to a pilates class at our gym. Boy that was interesting... And my abs hurt for three days afterwards. It was quite the workout.
But I am off to do productive things now.

10:13 am - Bueno!
|
Long time.....no typing.
Things are going well in my little world. I have today off so I am enjoying playing with the gatos and not cleaning. :-( My goals for today are as follows: clean house, wash car, do laundry. I am not sure that I will be getting much of that done because my motivation levels are down and my shopping jones is up. (Hey Bath and Body works is having a huge sale. I have already been. Twice. And yet I feel the need to go back.) So.....
I am still a MIT with the lovely T-Mobile. I have to say that this is probably the easiest job ever. I am quite excited at the prospect of moving up. I really want to run a particular store; however I am not sure where the other managers want to go when new stores open up and I am sure that I am the last on the list to pick. But this store is quite busy and there are alot of opportunities to make money there. It will also be a great launchpad for me if I decide to throw my hat into the ring the next time that they are looking for Regional Directors....just sayin'. But yeah.
So the Sidekick3 is coming out and a lot of people are foaming at the mouth for it. I am wondering how that will go down when we finally are able to sell them. I can barely deal with the harassment of the customers who use them right now so hopefully the hoopla dies down a bit. Meh.
I have also come to realize what a geek I am. Prior to working at T-Mobile I didn't really give a shit what my phone did or didn't do. I am by far not the geekiest but I am getting a little ridiculous. I am one of the people that I used to think was weird in a "you spend too much time fucking with your phone" way. So yeah that's me. I am the girl with two bluetooth headsets and four phones talking, it seems, to no one. (Side note: NEVER do I clip the phone(s) to my hip. I am a chica and you better believe that shit is clipped (if anywhere) to the strap on my purse.)
I don't know when it happened. I don't know when I went from caring that I could use my phone to snap a funny picture of a friend to worrying about the screen resolution or the talk time of a bluetooth headset or if I would be able to use that there MDA as a modem for my laptop. Does it have expandable memory? No? Well then screw that!! If it doesn't have expandable memory how the hell am I going to spend four hours every night* creating custom mp3 ringtones to put on my phone so that I am completely personalized down to every last fucking alert available? Text messages? (the whistlesong) Voicemail alerts? (the deftones) Calendar reminders? (I love scotch. Scotch scotch scotch. Down into my belly.) And so on. I also need a device that I can use to program mailing lists. (Nokias are best for that) What about sound clarity? (I prefer Motorola's) Ease of use? (Definitely Samsungs) Seriously. When we get together and drink we all talk about phones now. (Well...we also talk about the stupidity of many of our customers and/or co-workers but that is neither here nor there.)
And when did I stop calling them phones and start calling them handsets?
WTF???
*Disclaimer-I don't happen to spend four hours a night making ringtones. I mostly just steal them from wal-mart.com or rape my co-workers phones. I have, however, been known to make one or two now and again. But in six months? I might be that lonely person eating vanilla yogurt and granola talking about how this Nine Inch Nails ringtone will be the ringtone to bring down all other ringtones. Just an FYI--if I do that remove me from my house immediately and get me to a bar. I need to socialize.
But I did make a really bitchin' Yeah Yeah Yeah's ringtone.

It has been too long I know. Rundown of things happening in my life:
Got promoted at work *yay* and will now be working way across town at the busiest store we have for at least the next five months as a MIT... Commission anyone? It will be sweet.
Set a wedding date of May 1, 2008. Not exactly ten years I know but what is a girl to do.
Tentatively decided on a place to get married--details forthcoming as plans are solidified.
And now the best one ever-I purchased a car! Wahoo! I had been putting it off as long as possible but now I have a shiny new vehicle!

And now I must go to work...later bitches!

Hello Internets!!!!
Enjoying my lovely Sunday off-ish. :-( There is an all regions meeting in Phoenix tonight that I am none too excited about going to. Luckily a group of us girls are driving up separate from the other group and have plans to leave as soon as humanly possible.
Other than that my Sunday will be spent cleaning house and shampooing carpets! What fun activities those are! I am not really a fan of the moving of the furniture and such but hey, what are ya gonna do. It is that spring cleaning time of the year. The sun is already setting later and it actually beat down on me a little bit this week instead of sitting lazily in the sky doing nothing to warm me. Soon the days of applying massive amounts of sunscreen shall be upon us and all will be well again. The snowbirds will go home and I will have my roads back! The whole city will rejoice I tell you.
As far as the wedding goes we have decided to have our little affair in Las Vegas! As I have never been there I thought that might be fun for me as well as all the people who would travel in from far off destinations. A little bit of vacation for those others would be nice. While Tucson is great there just wouldn't be as much to do here as there is there. So I am currently perusing hotels trying to find one that has everything I want for a good price. For example: The Bellagio has everything that I want but the price is quite high, the Luxor has a good price but decor looks like someone lost bladder control and managed to hit everything around them. (Not a pretty picture, I know, but in truth that is the one thing that I can think of to accurately describe the immense golden tone of EVERYTHING in that hotel. I am glad they have pictures on their site, that is for sure!) So I have a few people that I know in Tucson that are from Vegas so I will be grilling them on various aspects of each hotel. Heather and I also would like to fly up for a day or two and check out all of the hotels before a final decision is made. And of course we will not be gambling on that trip. ;-)
I am also VERY excited about the bachelor/bachelorette parties. We might consider merging them and just have one giant party. That will be Melinda's department. There will also be a fishing trip jammed into the weekend somewhere so that will also be nice for anyone who wishes to go. I believe the flow of events will be as follows: Fri-arrival, parties! Sat-fishing and/or spa/gambling/sleeping sun-wedding/gambling/whateverelseyouwannado. That is subject to change but so far it seems to be the easiest way of doing things.
Well that is the update for the month folks. These carpets aren't (unfortunately) going to clean themselves. Better get on it....

Am updating from the new BlackBerry 7105 at work and it is pretty nifty! Woot woot for being bored at work and having lots of stuff to play with! Damn them for not giving us open internet connections but it is ok for I have bested them! Ha!
Jeff is feeling better today, his face isn't as swollen as it was the past few days and he was able to go to work. Other than that life is pretty much the same old same old. Just waiting for the holidays to come I guess. I unfortunately will not be going to Illinois this year. It would be really nice if my mom were able to come down at least for a day or two for Christmas but she just started a new job so I am not sure what kind of time she can get off.
So yeah exciting times at the tmo today....perhaps I should go windex something... Later bitches

so.
Purchased an Ipod Nano about a month ago, it helps the time at the gym go by muy faster, which is always a good thing. *yay* Much easier than trying to read while running.
Birthday went well. Yay for days off and friends!
Melinda is moving to Portland...suckiness :-(
We also had a fun halloween party, I had the *best* shoes ever to wear that night and I now find myself wanting to wear them again even though I almost broke my ankle. They were purrrrty. Have pics will try to get some posted, much of them are on Smel's camera. Will harass her tomorrow.
Jeffy is laid up after getting a wisdom tooth pulled. Much swelling going on that breaks my heart. He was in lotsa pain and dentist office was closed so went to ER last night and got some meds and again this morning when he woke up and it was swollen. Very tired, but at least now he has antibiotics and hopefully the swelling is gone tomorrow. So sad. Silly tooth.
Wilbur is meowing and rubbing up against my leg. I assume he means to say hi.
And that's that.

1:51 pm - To Me...Coming From you.....Friend is a four letter word......
|
Melinda Jeff and I went to see the 40 yo virgin last night. It was good. Funnier than Anchorman but not funnier than Wedding Crashers. I have a day off and I am quite thankful for that. Since we have been severely understaffed for over a month now it is nice to have a Sunday off. I don't have too much planned for it. I slept in and now I am doing laundry and cleaning type stuff. I don't think that there will be anything happening tonight...Brooke is in Chicago and Melinda has an early shift tomorrow.....so it may just be a "couple night" tonight. That might be fun.
We went to Phoenix for a couple of days this week...it was fun. Except for the fact that I lost money at the casino. *frown* Stupid cow slot machine!!! There was live poker and live blackjack but they were entirely too expensive for my blood. Steve, one of the managers from applebee's, was playing blackjack and within the first ten minutes was up $240.00. He should've left then. He ended up in the red $200 when it was all said and done.
Other than that life has been quiet here in the desert. It hasn't started cooling off yet...just as hot as ever. *sweats* Jeff's friends that moved to Phoenix moved back to Tucson this week so that is good. Now he will have someone to go out and play with. *yay*
Four weeks and six days until my birthday....muy excited! I feel old though! It is all downhill from here it seems...better start purchasing gallons of anti-wrinkle cream now. Time is flying by. And this spring will be four - FOUR - years that I have been with Jeff. It definitely doesn't feel that long, which I suppose is a good thing. ;-) I am just glad that I have him. *mwah* Much love baby.
Alas, I must go corral the felines for they are kicking each others asses.

So another wonderful day lovely Arizona. It has been a wee bit overcast so hopefully monsoon season starts soon. I loooooove monsoon season! It is so much nicer than tornado season. The loveliness of rain without the large funnel clouds that eat houses, people, animals, etc. Woo!
In other news I have secured two tickets to nin for the september show in Tucson and am quite excited about it. I am glad that I don't have to drive to Phoenix for the concert. It is so much easier when all I have to do is go downtown. I cannot fucking wait!!! *yay* It shall be fun.
I also have tentatively decided on my next tatto. My wonderfully good friend Josh in Chicago is going to take the picture and re-draw it to my specifications. It is going to be a full backpiece. I am excited and also a little nervous....it is going to hurt! If I am motivated enough at the end of this post I will put up the picture we are going off of. *So excited*
I am also excited about the new phone I have. (Note: LOVE working at a phone place, I so get the hook-up) It is a Samsung P-735. Very awesome. Megapixel Camera, video, removable 32MB memory chip, mp3 player and THE BEST OF ALL--it swivels all cool like. Woo! It would be better if it were bluetooth but it does have infared technology. Which definitely isn't as good as the bluetooth. But hey, it SWIVELS! (Yeah I am a dork.)
Bleh. To post the picture or to not post the picture?

Things here are going well. Same shit different day. NIN is coming to Tucson in September. I will kill if by some freak accident I do not end up with tickets. I am very excited about this. System is also coming to Phoenix. I may try to get off of work to hit that one up as well.
I am trying to decide when I would like to visit Illinois. I want to see everyone that I know but I do not know how exactly I will manage this feat. I will most likely fly into southern, visit there for a day or two, visit central, stay there for a day or two and finally go to Chicago to see my friend Josh. That is a lot of traveling while without a vehicle. *hmmm* I will have to think about this one. I definitely do not want to be riding a greyhound all over the state because that would utterly suck. Damn me for not being old enough to rent a car. *grrr* Any ideas would be useful.
And I shall now leave, but this site is kind of neat. You should go look at it.

9:37 pm - Happy Birthday Hubby
|
Yes. I am indeed still alive and have not fallen off the face of earth. Things as of late have been good, nothing of much interest to report, therefore I haven't.
Have finally named the kittens though: the orange and white one who is a little spastic shall be called "Oz" and the fat orange one shall be called "Jimmy" (the Tulip). I wanted to go with something from office space as the fat one would have made a really good Milton, but Lumberhg was not an option for the other. So instead we went with the Whole Nine Yards and that shall be it.
UPDATE:Ok, so those aren't their names. They just don't fit.
Work is really getting irritating. In addition to my jackass boss my weird co-worker now has a crush on me. Add that to the other one that always looks at my boobs and you've got yourself a fun day. My only salvation is the other girl that works there, Brooke. Unfortunately she is only part time so I get to work with her two days a week if I am lucky. The rest of the time is spent listening to how Fat Weird Guy went to the Renaissance Fair with his mom and brother, the ultimate point of that tale is that they ate cheesecake on a stick. Someone needs to kill me. Because of all of this I am spending entirely too much money on tequila and too little time doing productive things. Such as laundry. Or cleaning my house. There may be some good news on the horizon though, as I have a good chance of being transferred to another store. If this happens it would be on June 1st so I am keeping my fingers crossed. The only thing that worries me is that my manager is a little slow on recruiting new people and my regional manager is really hard to get ahold of and talk to about this stuff, so I don't have nearly enough information and/or updates. So now I shall down another shot to keep hope alive.
In other news it is my future husbands birthday today. Happy fortieth Trent. Mwah. I love you.
Alright bitches, I'm out!

3:45 pm - Good times
|
So I just got back from work and it was good times. Had a training class today that was actually a lot of fun. Plus it got me out of my store and away from our new manager who is a giant douchebag. Also got off three hours early so it made my day that much better. *yay* I am hoping to get transfered to one of the new stores or get the douche fired, or perhaps a nice combo of the two. Hopefully this happens as he has fucked up already and the RM has heard of this stuff. Hopefully I hear something soon. We do have a new store opening up next month so perhaps I will be lucky enough to go there. (A definite plus is that the people that are going to be working there are cool.)
In other non-news, no names have been selected for the kittens yet. Jeff and I each come up with a few things but end up vetoing them. Personally I like Bartleby and Loki but no such luck. Vetoed. Must find something soon or we will have a kitty identity crisis.
Did get a new phone yesterday. It is quite nice and I can make my own ringtones for it so I really need to get to editing so I can hook myself up. Right now it has the worst ringtone in the world as I am too lazy to change it. I am going to try to get this done with minimal effort. Wish me luck.
Hmmmm.....can't think of anything else to say, very mundane as of late.
